Demi Moore Felt That Bruce Willis Wanted Out

Cheating scandals are not unheard of in show business but that does not mean that the ones involved feel any differently than the common people. So was the case of the Ghost star who had this suspicion that her ex-husband was starting to feel trapped in the marriage and had been cheating on her as an escape from the reality that happened to his family.

In her memoir Inside Out, Demi Moore candidly wrote about this. The lines read:

“It was as if he woke up a few years later and thought, ‘Whoa, is this what I want? Or do I really want to be free?’ I think he was struggling to resolve a conflict within himself: he wanted family and grounding, but he also craved excitement and novelty. Basically, he wanted to do whatever the f**k he wanted.”

It was true that things happened really fast between the two of them as they exchanged wedding vows just four months after meeting each other. Their first daughter Rumer Willis was born within a year. All this might have made Bruce Willis a little nervous as having a family means a lot of responsibility.

Demi Moore Recalled Her First Meeting with Bruce Willis

People usually take years to know each other before tying the knot and sometimes, the relationship snaps before they even reach that stage no matter how long they have been together. However, that did not seem to be the case for Demi Moore and the Die Hard star who met at the premiere of the 1987 movie Stakeout, and married soon after.

Moore wrote in her memoir that despite having a date for the night, Willis couldn’t help but keep looking at the Bobby actress. At the end of the night when he did manage to gather enough courage to ask for her number, he was still shaking. The actress wrote that he was a true gentleman which really impressed her.
