Avatar: The Last Airbender is an anime-influenced television series backed by Nickelodeon Animation Studios. The development of the live-action version of the animated series was announced back in 2018. According to the media outlet Entertainment Weekly, Avatar: The Last Airbender has been scheduled for a global premiere on 22nd February on one of the leading streaming platforms, Netflix.
The eight episodes of the live adaptation of Albert Kim’s action-adventure series will revolve around a young avatar Aang who is striving to master the elements of Air, Earth, Fire, and Water to restore harmony on the planet after the attack of the Fire Nation. Significant characters Katara and Sokka, siblings from the water tribe end up joining Aang in his mission.
The Lost In Space actor Gordon Cormier will be playing the character of the sharp and dedicated Avatar Aang in the live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender. The teenager has worked with reputed celebrities like Whoopi Goldberg, Amber Heard, and James Marsden. Actors including, Elizabeth Yu, Ken Leung, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Kiawentiio Tarbell, Maria Zhang, Daniel Dae Kim, Ian Ousley, and Dallas Liu are a significant part of the upcoming live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Gordon Cormier Talks About One Of His Favourite Scenes From Avatar: The Last Airbender
During an exclusive interview with the famous media outlet Entertainment Weekly, the entire cast of the live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender appeared for the promotion of the series. Gordon Cormier, the young teenager plays the titular role in the upcoming adventure fantasy drama. While talking about one of his favourite scenes from the live-action adaptation of the series he spoke about the Fire Nations attack on the Air Nomads during the initial days of the Hundred Year War. He said-
“I think the Airbender genocide is really cool… Well, no! No! Not like that. I mean, yeah, my whole family’s dead, of course. It’s not a good thing, but watching it is going to be sick!”
The young Airbender Aang ends up discovering that he is the next Avatar. He had been missing for a hundred years which resulted in an attack by the Fire Nation for global domination which led to the wiping out of Air Nomads from the planet. According to the trailer, the Air Nomads and Fire Nation soldiers are seen fighting against each other.
Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender premieres on Feb. 22 on Netflix.
