Shakira is dealing with the case of tax fraud
The Colombian pop star, Shakira was accused of committing six cases of tax fraud a few weeks back. Spanish prosecutors on July 29 called for a prison term of more than eight years and a fine of more than €23 million for her. She has been accused of failing to pay taxes between 2012 and 2014. According to the prosecution, this was during the time she had a relationship with Gerard Pique of Spain. The singer allegedly resided in a home she had bought in Spain while formally maintaining a tax residency in the Bahamas. The Waka Waka singer is currently fighting in court to prove her innocence.
The pop star is filming a new music video
Shakira has just started filming her latest music video this week. She is collaborating on the video with the Puerto Rican singer, Ozuna. The song was recorded by the two in Manresa, Spain. Filming of the video began on Saturday afternoon in a supermarket and continued until early morning in the city center. Little is known about the new song at this point, but what we do know is that it will be an urban genre.
It was also revealed by Ozuna, that he is extremely delighted to be working alongside the Waka Waka singer. He claimed in an interview that this was a dream come true for him as Shakira was his celebrity crush. The Diles singer also tweeted, “How beautiful you are, Shakira” next to a teddy bear emoji. Fans are really hyped up about the two of them working together after getting to know about Ozuna’s interest in the Colombian pop singer.
Gerard Pique might be mentioned in the new song
Shakira and Gerard Pique recently ended their relationship due to the Barcelona player’s alleged infidelity. The footballer got into a new relationship soon after things ended with the Hips Don’t Lie singer. The ex-couple are even fighting for the custody of their sons, Sasha and Milan. Jordi Martin claimed via Instagram stories that the song is a hint toward the footballer. He said, “Do you want to know the name of Shakira and Ozuna’s new song? I already have it and watch out. What a hint to Gerard Pique. It’s coming. This week we’ll premiere it on my show, ‘El gordo y la flaca‘” Shakira fans are now excited to see if there is any direct link or reference to her ex-partner Gerard Pique.
