The scene involving an encounter between Banner and Hulk is extremely fitting for the plot in Marvel movies. The character of Hulk in MCU has fought a long battle between the two sides of himself. However, both sides of Hulk agree to join each other, which leads to the formation of Smart Hulk.

Smart Hulk features in Avengers: Endgame events. Interestingly, Marvel had started to work upon this character during the filming of Thor: Ragnarok

Could Hulk have met someone else in the Soul Stone?

There has been a lot of talks regarding whom Hulk encounters while in the Soul Stone. A visit to the Soul Stone bounds to conjure someone essential in one’s life. Tony Stark had met an aged version of his daughter Morgan when he visited the Soul Stone.

This event had led to many people debating whether Hulk should have met someone with a more critical role in his life. Liv Tyler’s Betty Ross would have been an ideal encounter for the green monster. Similarly, Black Widow would have been another option for Hulk to meet while in the Soul Stone, considering the pair’s closeness in previous Marvel movies.
