Paige Spiranac, golf influencer, was in “utter disbelief” when Maxim Hot 100 list named her the “sexiest woman alive”. Her first reaction was, “Are you sure?”
The 29-year-old influencer is also the latest front cover star of Maxim magazine. She has posed in bed, bra-less beneath a white button-up shirt for the front page of the 2022 Maxim Hot 100 issue.
Spiranac was pleasantly surprised, rather shocked when she found out about the achievement, admitting that she asked, “Are you sure?” when the magazine called to inform her, “because I was truly in disbelief” about the offer.
Spiranac showed her gratitude to the New York-based photographer, Gilles Bensimon, for shooting the project:
“To me being sexy is about confidence and feeling comfortable in your own skin. I’ve always tried to stay true to myself though out my unconventional path and now I’m so proud to be following so many amazing women who carried the title in years before me.”

Spiranac shared a video on her Instagram story on Thursday that showed she was the guest of honor at a Maxim event in celebrating the cover.
Spiranac also shared her experience of working with Maxim, in a separate Instagram story video. She told her followers how she got “double pink eye” the day after shooting the cover.

It all started back in 2015 when Spiranac finished nine under par with a win at the 100th Colorado Women’s Golf Association Match Play Championship. While celebrating the win with her mother, Spiranac’s phone kept blowing up with congratulations much more than the usual texts from friends and acquaintances.
“Later we find out from all the texts about Dan Regester, a writer at Total Frat Move. He found me on Instagram and wrote a love letter to me and it went viral. That’s what started my entire career. I went from having 500 followers to having 100,000 followers overnight. My life completely changed in the blink of an eye.”
Suddenly, she found herself getting endorsement offers from everywhere. She decided to put to use the attention and sudden monetary influx and make it a professional career, which can be tricky, even for a woman with Paige’s looks, also ranked among World’s best junior.

“I get frustrated when they support everyone except for you ‘cause you like to show cleavage,” she says. “My dress code my entire life, I like to wear things that are more formfitting. I just became more comfortable wearing less because of my gymnastics background. I like being able to have movement in my swing. When I began wearing leggings it started a huge uproar. And now I go to the range and I see so many women wearing leggings.”
