Why Did Zoe Saldana Break Up With Her Guardians of the Galaxy Co-star Bradley Cooper?
Zoe Saldana and Bradley Cooper started as friends, and later, as love blossomed between them, the two started dating. Saldana played the character Gamora, while Cooper portrayed Rocket in Guardians of the Galaxy. The couple dated for about a year; however, things didn’t last between them.
The former couple met while filming The Words and started seeing each other from there. Saldana and Cooper’s relationship saw many ups and downs throughout the relationship; the former couple was in an on-and-off relationship before ending it permanently.

Starting as friends, working as co-stars, and finally ending on not-so-amiable terms, Zoe Saldana and Bradley Cooper had a tumultuous relationship. Their relationship saw many shades, but it all turned dark when Cooper initiated their first breakup after just a few months. According to a source,
“He dumped her; he just doesn’t want to be in a relationship at the moment.”
However, the couple reconciled shortly thereafter, giving their relationship a second chance. Although, according to an insider, even after coming back together, the issues between them persisted. Hence, separation was inevitable between them.
It’s always hard to heal from heartbreak, yet Saldana didn’t let her breakup affect her as she celebrated New Year’s Eve in Miami in 2013.
Though the Avatar alum didn’t make any statements about her breakup, she threw shade at her ex-boyfriend Cooper following their breakup. During an interview with a news outlet, Saldana said,
“There’s a reason why you’re called an ex. I crossed you off my list. Moving on.”
Saldana and Cooper finally called it quits, yet the two actors worked together on Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy.

Following her breakup with Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana didn’t lose hope in love; rather, she claimed that her breakup helped her find her soul mate. She said,
“I was finally able to spend time without being in a relationship, and even though, it was a short period of time, it was beautiful. Where I lost that fear of being alone … Then I met my partner when I was in really a beautiful place in my life. It was like I found all my answers with him not in him.”
Zoe Saldana has been married to Marco Perego since 2013. Bradley Cooper, on the other hand, married American actress Jennifer Esposito in 2006. Unfortunately, the relationship didn’t last long, as they parted ways a year after their marriage. Later, Cooper was linked with supermodel Irina Shayk in 2015, and the two officially split in 2019. Recently, Cooper and Shayk were spotted talking at the Met Gala.
