A recent report suggested that Trump’s beliefs are, at times, used to mislead the public to deviate from what he means.

According to the reports from The Associated Press, an orphaned squirrel who became a social media star was euthanized after the state authorities seized the caretaker’s home and animal sanctuary in rural Pine City. The Department of Environmental Conservation shared that they received complaints that wildlife was being kept illegally and potentially unsafely.

Mark Longo took the squirrel seven years ago after he witnessed the pet’s mother hit by a car in New York City. Peanut amassed tens of thousands of followers on social media. As the state law requires people to get a license to own a wild animal, Longo stated that he was working to get Peanut certified as an education animal. He said via US News,

Cheung clarifies that the statement that’s been all over social media was fake and Donald Trump did not address the confiscated and euthanized squirrel controversy.
Elon Musk and the public react to Peanut the Squirrel’s euthanasia
Peanut’s owner, Mark Longo, took to social media to share the situation, explaining how the pets were taken away and euthanized. He, along with his wife, mentioned while criticizing the government how they took one of the most amazing animals away from them because of their selfishness. The couple added,
The couple has urged the public and squirrel’s followers to help them raise money for their legal battle and the non-profit so that they can keep his name alive. Tesla CEO Elon Musk shared the story of a squirrel’s death on his social media, writing, ‘Government overreach kidnapped an orphan squirrel and executed him.’
Riley Gaines also shared her sorrow by writing that the situation should be alarming to Americans. Many followers stated that whatever has happened is heartbreaking, pointing out that the government has gone ‘rogue’. Some even went on to elaborate that this act goes on to establish that the Democrat operatives will use lethal force against people and their pets.
Actor William Shatner also came in support for the Squirrel and used his social media to express his grief.
Collin Rugg also shared a video of Mark Longo and his wife explaining to TMZ about their heartbreaking situation. People have demanded justice for the pets and have joined the owner in his fight for justice.
