“Will & Grace”: Where Are They Now?
- The 'Will & Grace' cast still serves drama, humor, and iconic vibes.
- Awards, Broadway gigs, and endless laughs—this crew hasn’t missed a beat.
- Their talents and humor keep them shining long after the series ended.
It’s hard to believe it’s been over 26 years since Will & Grace first premiered. The show was groundbreaking, funny, and full of unforgettable moments. The cast had amazing chemistry, giving us some of TV’s most iconic friendships, rivalries, and laughs.
But what have they been up to since the series ended (and even after the 2017-2020 revival)? Let’s take a look at where your favorite stars are now.
Debra Messing as Grace Adler
Debra Messing played the quirky and lovable Grace, an interior designer who always managed to bring chaos and humor to every situation. After Will & Grace, she stayed busy with movies like The Wedding Date and TV shows like The Mysteries of Laura and Smash. She even took her talents to Broadway, proving she can do it all.
Messing also reunited with the cast for the show’s reboot, which ran from 2017 to 2020. In her personal life, she shares a son, Roman, with her ex-husband Daniel Zelman, whom she divorced in 2020 after over a decade of marriage. Through it all, Messing has kept shining—she’s an Emmy winner, after all!
Eric McCormack as Will Truman
Eric McCormack gave us Will Truman, the witty and stylish lawyer who was Grace’s best friend and roommate. McCormack was already a working actor before Will & Grace, but the role earned him an Emmy in 2001 and made him a household name.
Since then, the actor hasn’t slowed down. He’s starred in TV shows like Perception and Trust Me and performed on Broadway in The Music Man and The Cottage. He also teamed up with Sean Hayes to host a Will & Grace rewatch podcast in 2023.
In his personal life, McCormack married Janet Holden in 1997, and they have a son, Finnigan. However, in 2023, Holden filed for divorce after 26 years of marriage. Despite the tough times, he continues to thrive on and off-screen.
Megan Mullally as Karen Walker
Karen Walker was everyone’s favorite sassy, boozy socialite, and Megan Mullally played her perfectly. But did you know she originally auditioned to play Grace? Thankfully, she ended up as Karen, and the rest is TV history.
After Will & Grace, Mullally appeared in hit shows like Bob’s Burgers, Parks and Recreation, and Party Down. She also returned to Broadway in productions like Young Frankenstein. Mullally is married to actor Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation’s Ron Swanson), and the two have worked together on-screen multiple times.
The 65-year-old is still going strong. The actress reunited with the cast for the reboot, earned another Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series, and starred in Dicks: The Musical last year.
She and Nick have also spoken openly on Juicy Scoop with Heather McDonald about their decision not to have kids, choosing to focus on their careers and their relationship.
Sean Hayes as Jack McFarland
Sean Hayes brought us Jack McFarland, the hilarious and dramatic aspiring actor who was always up to something. His performance earned him seven Emmy nominations and one win.
After the original series ended, Hayes appeared in movies like Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! and TV shows like Sean Saves the World. He’s also a talented theater actor and won a Tony Award in 2023 for his role in Good Night, Oscar.
Hayes returned for the Will & Grace revival and later teamed up with Eric McCormack for their rewatch podcast. In 2014, Hayes married music producer Scott Icenogle. They don’t have kids, but they seem to be living a happy life.
Harry Connick Jr. as Leo Markus
Harry Connick Jr. played Dr. Leo Markus, Grace’s love interest and eventual husband. Before joining Will & Grace, Connick Jr. was already a big star thanks to his music career and roles in movies like Hope Floats.
After the show, the star became a judge on American Idol alongside Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban. He also hosted a daytime talk show and continued performing on Broadway, earning Tony nominations for The Pajama Game and Thou Shalt Not. Connick Jr. has been married to Jill Goodacre for nearly 30 years, and they have three daughters.
Bobby Cannavale as Vince D’Angelo
Bobby Cannavale joined the cast in 2004 as Vince D’Angelo, a police officer and Will’s love interest. Cannavale already had a strong acting career, but his role on Will & Grace earned him an Emmy.
Since then, the actor has appeared in countless TV shows, including Boardwalk Empire and Nine Perfect Strangers. He’s also had a successful Broadway career, earning Tony nominations for plays like Mauritius.
In his personal life, the actor has been with actress Rose Byrne since 2012, and they have two young sons together. He also has an adult son, Jake, from a previous relationship with Jenny Lumet.
Leslie Jordan as Beverley Leslie
Leslie Jordan played Beverley Leslie, Karen’s rival and occasional frenemy. His hilarious performance earned him an Emmy, and he became one of the show’s most beloved guest stars.
After Will & Grace, Jordan appeared in TV shows like American Horror Story and Call Me Kat. During the COVID-19 pandemic, his Instagram posts brought joy to millions of fans, making him a viral sensation.
Tragically, Jordan passed away in October 2022 at the age of 67 after a car accident. His humor, charm, and talent left a lasting impact, and he’ll always be remembered as a comedy legend.
Shelley Morrison as Rosario Salazar
Shelley Morrison played Rosario Salazar, Karen’s no-nonsense housekeeper who often stole the show with her witty comebacks. Morrison had a long career in TV before Will & Grace, but her role as Rosario made her unforgettable.
After the series ended, Morrison retired from acting and focused on her personal life. She passed away in December 2019 at the age of 83, but her legacy lives on through her iconic work on the show.
