Trouble doesn’t seem to end for Kanye West as he is now being sued by giant clothing company Gap for $2 million.

Kanye West in legal trouble with Gap
Kanye West is surrounded by trouble as the American rapper has another legal drama unfolding with Gap. After losing his partnership with Adidas, West also lost Gap. The rapper agreed to a ten-year contract with the company in 2020. The first two years of Yeezy Gap’s existence saw some successful debuts and sales. However, after two years of the agreement, West’s attorneys informed Gap that the ten-year contract with Yeezy LLC was being terminated.
The brand was sued by a company called Art City Center in October 2022. The company owns a building on 6th Street in Los Angeles. Gap leased the property of Art City Center from April 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022, for a monthly rent of $104,666.67 plus an extra $8,333 for parking expenses. Any unauthorized alterations to the building were expressly banned under the leasing agreement between the two parties.
The suit filed by the company stated, “The Gap “completed numerous, significant, unapproved modifications to the premises and it has not been restored to its original condition.”
However, Gap further countersued Ye, claiming that he was responsible for all the renovations to the structure and now seeks $2 million in compensatory damages from him. Although the rapper ended his partnership with the brand, he is liable to pay $ 2 million.
