She has yet again managed to make headlines with just one Instagram post that she has now deleted.

Britney Spears is not new to ruffling some feathers in the industry with just a quote or an Instagram post. She has done it yet again by posting a nostalgic snapshot of herself with Batman actor Ben Affleck and songwriter Diane Warren. The image itself did not spark fans’ curiosity, it was rather the caption the singer wrote with the image that raised people’s eyebrows. According to the New York Post, the caption read,
“Cool pic of me and Ben Affleck and Diane Warren years ago!!! He’s such an amazing actor. Did I fail to mention I made out with Ben that night … I honestly forgot … damn that’s crazy!!! Wish I could tell you guys the story that happened before that!!! Oh dear, I’m just being a gossip girl.”
The post that appeared innocent at first seemed to have numerous ramifications for Affleck, who is reportedly on thin ice with his wife Jennifer Lopez. The couple has often been photographed in the midst of an argument or a fight, hence displaying signs of red flags in their marriage. What will happen to Lopez when she finds out that Affleck made out with Spears back in 1999? That same year, Spears then went on in a relationship with Justin Timberlake that also sparked numerous rumors and speculations.
Affleck has not yet responded to the gossip shared by Spears. The rumors of the two having a fling at the end of the 1990s did fly high at that time, but no confirmation was given by either celebrity. Spears has been a part of many hookups and casual relationships so this comes as no surprise on her part. But this revelation could spell trouble for Affleck and his marriage with Lopez.

Affleck and Lopez have had an on-again-off-again relationship for the past 20 years. The duo crossed paths in 2002 for the first time and swiftly got engaged to everyone’s surprise. The couple delayed their wedding in 2003 and eventually broke up in 2004. Their relationship took a hit due to their public image and the media scrutiny that came with the fame. After breaking up in 2004, they got together again in 2021 after Lopez separated from Alex Rodriguez.
It could be said that the couple didn’t get the timing right the first time around, but their equation today doesn’t seem full of roses and rainbows either. From angry award function appearances to fights on the streets, Affleck and Lopez have been witnessed by the paparazzi as they yell and express anger. Moreover, Affleck seems like a rebound guy for Lopez who was also engaged to Rodriguez before eventually breaking up. Lopez has been engaged six times, which is a pretty big number for a person who believes in forever in love. On top of everything, Affleck hardly seems happy when he’s walking red carpets of attending premiers with his wife. His animated expression only adds fire to the speculations that state the couple is unhappy and will not last.
