‘Wonka’ Actor Phil Wang Injured Himself Trying To Impress Timothée Chalamet During Intense Dance Scene
Actor- comedian, Phil Wang, recently revealed an insight from the sets of his latest film, Wonka. The comedy-writer appeared on The Graham Norton Show on the 24th of November and shared an incident where he injured himself while shooting a dance sequence for the movie.
He talked about his excitement on the film set while he was shooting with Timothee Chalamet. He mentioned that he expected to become the lead actor’s friend so he might put Wang in his future films. The actor told comedian, Graham Norton, that he broke his arm as he jumped and landed on a table, which broke under him.
Phil who appeared in shows like The Rob Brydon Show, Would I Lie to You?, Live at the Apollo and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, started his acting career in British sitcom Top Coppers. After spending a decade doing TV shows and stand-ups, he debuts on the big screen with Wonka.
Timothee Chalamet Joked on Wang’s Broken Arm, Saying “Thats a Lucky Break”
After getting injured while shooting, Wang consulted his mother, who is a “bone doctor” over a Zoom call and found out that the he had suffered a radial break in his arm.
The next day when he was back on the set, he had to shoot a scene with his broken arm and the actor said that everyone on the location called him “brave.” He also said that Timothee Chalamet walked towards him, dressed as Willy Wonka, the lead character, and asked him “I heard your mom is a bone doctor.” Wang added that Chalamet told joked with him saying, “That’s a lucky break,” sarcastically agreeing to it, the comedian replied “Yeah! Literally.”
The actor later mimicked his film’s lead star’s laughter and said that the force of the laugh blew Wonka’s lead into the sky.

Wang shared a video post on his Instagram from The Graham Norton Show where he explained how he got injured hilariously. He captioned the post:
