Jackman’s career has been nothing short of legendary and neither was Stan Lee’s. Lee was the mastermind behind some of the best superhero characters known to the world. Stan Lee was a gifted writer who began showing his prowess as a young kid. As a professional writer, it did not take him long to rise through the ranks of a publishing company called Timely Comics, which later came to be known as Marvel Comics.

Under his leadership, the small publishing house transformed into a multimedia corporation that has been conquering the film, TV and comic industries for decades now. He may not be physically present in this world anymore, but the legacy he has left behind will continue to keep him alive for many more decades.

Besides the numerous exciting cameos, Lee would often attend public interviews and conventions. One such convention was the 2008 Comic-Con and luckily, Hugh Jackman was also in attendance. Upon realizing that it was the Wolverine actor, the comic book writer could not contain his excitement.

In a video uploaded by Josh Horowitz on YouTube, Lee and Jackman can be seen posing for photos together. At one point, Lee calls the actor the “son of a b*tch” in his elation.

I am so excited. I mean, you’re like the best. You are terrific. I’m a big fan of yours.

Lee did not waste any time behaving like a true fan, and he made sure to even click a picture with the clawed mutant star. With Deadpool & Wolverine right on the horizon for release, now is a good time to reminisce about this wholesome meeting between two of the most beloved legends.

Hugh Jackman Would Have Been Heartbroken If Deadpool & Wolverine Was Not Made

Hugh Jackman left people devastated when he decided to hang up his claws after 2017’s Logan. Ryan Reynolds was equally disheartened by the fact that Deadpool might not get the chance to share the screen with Wolverine.

As fate would have it, Jackman decided that he wanted to make everyone’s dreams including his own come true by putting his claws once again for the upcoming movie. The timing of his call to Reynolds was extremely great because Reynolds and Levy were planning to stop working on the movie soon if they did not get a sign.

When asked by MTV News what would have been his reaction if Reynolds had told him that the movie was not happening anymore, Jackman said:

I would have been upset. Every cell in my body was like, ‘I really want to do it.’ So I would have been heartbroken, I would have cried, I would have been angry. I probably would have ended the friendship, and filed for custody of his children.

Well, Reynolds could not have certainly risked losing a friend, his children, and the chance to reunite with Wolverine on the big screen, and hilariously, it is not just him who benefits from it.

Deadpool and Wolverine will land on theatre screens on July 26th.
