After Jo Koy messed up with the Golden Globes this year, David Tennant had a huge responsibility on his shoulders with respect to hosting the BAFTA 2024. The Staged star was all over the internet after he left his viewers dry-mouthed after not making any controversial comment or remark during the BAFTA 2024.
From talking about Barbie to the duration of Christopher Nolan’s biographical saga Oppenheimer, Tennant went on to create a perfect blend of humor and fun during the BAFTA 2024 monologue.

Good Omens actor David Tennant hosted the reputed award ceremony for the first time along with Twilight actor Michael Sheen. From talking about Ken’s smooth chest to Emma Stone’s character from Poor Things, Tennant wisely walked on the thin line between mockery and humor.
Actors including Marvel star Tom Hiddleston, Judi Dench, and Stanley Tucci were a part of Tennant’s BAFTA monologue. According to a clip from the BAFTA 2024, the Hamlet actor took a dig at the controversial statement by Jo Koy during the Golden Globes 2024. He said-
“Don’t diss Tay Tay, I think that is the lesson to be learned. I live in a house of Taylor Swift fans, so I know better.”

“I keep thinking about poor-maligned Ken — brought to life by Ryan Gosling, In the course of that film, Ken becomes a progressive, a champion of the marginalized, a voice for the oppressed. And if you squint at the end credits, you’ll even see Ken’s surname is actually Loache.”
