Meeting on the set of Pearl Harbor, Affleck, and Garner became close friends by the summer of 2004 after they starred together in Daredevil (2003). Soon their friendship turned into a romantic affair and the couple got married in June 2005. Starting a family together, the couple welcomed their three children.
However, after spending a decade together, the couple announced their divorce in 2015. Despite their separation and being exes, the pair decided on co-parenting and are usually spotted speaking highly of each other. Affleck appeared on Ellen DeGeneres’ show and spoke about being “good friends” with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. Although further stating the difficulty of co-parenting, Affleck spoke highly of Garner.

Similarly, during an interview with Today in 2016, Jennifer Garner spoke about her relationship with Ben Affleck after their divorce. “We are definitely a modern family,” Garner mentioned. Further adding, “We’re doing really well…He and I are great friends. It has to be [about being a team]. You don’t have a choice.” Putting up a smile on their face, the two amicable exes have been trying their best to cope with their differences just for the sake of their children.

Despite Ben Affleck’s happy and happening life with Jennifer Garner, their marriage faced a terrible end. It was reported that the couple decided on their divorce after Affleck’s alleged affair with his kids’ nanny. Although the couple denied all speculations, Christine Ouzounian, the nanny, and her friends claimed their relationship was real.
Multiple sources claimed the affair was legit and that Affleck cheated on his wife. Speaking about their affair, a close friend of Ouzounian revealed, “Christine is in love with him.” Several other sources provided details of Ouzounian’s relationship with the actor, stating, “It’s been going on for a long time,” and that the alleged couple would meet up at the Hotel Bel Air.
Despite all claims from Ouzounian and her friends, sources close to Ben Affleck mentioned, “This was not one of the reasons for the breakup,” and even stated, “There was no affair during or after [their marriage].” Addressing the scandalous and alleged affair, even Jennifer Garner stated, “We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny. She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce.” Without directly mentioning any alleged affair, Garner simply steered clear of the fact that she and Affleck separated because of an affair.
