American Celebrity Kimora Lee Simmons is a high-profile personality who began her successful modeling career when she was just a minor and signed an exclusive contract with Chanel, a French luxury fashion house. She gathered major media coverage for tying a knot with the American entrepreneur Russell Simmons, sharing two daughters Ming Lee Simmons and Aoki Lee Simmons who then separated in 2006.
While Simmons has a strong professional background, she also reeks of nepotism as she built her empire with the help of his former husband’s fortunes and is now defending her daughter who is aspiring to become a model.

Kimora Lee Simmons’s daughter Aoki Lee Simmons was recently trolled for wanting to model despite studying at Harvard University. Due to that, her model mother came to her defense and loved the idea that her daughter is trying to follow in her footsteps. She shared to PEOPLE, “I love it that she’s trying to follow in my footsteps. But also I think it’s a pain because if I had had some of what they have, maybe I wouldn’t have been a model. But I think it’s just looking at different sides of a coin.”

She supported her daughter’s aspirations who would want to focus both on her studies and modeling. She wished her daughter the best for future endeavours and stated, “It doesn’t make you any more or less of a business person or any more or less of a student or a student of the world or any more or less than a model. It’s important to explore all your passions. “

The Harvard student was recently asked by a fan on TikTok why she wants to pursue modeling even though she was “so articulate and obviously educated.” She shared in a post defending that models are not uneducated however shared that she understands “what you’re really getting at is, ‘Why am I going into a field that doesn’t necessarily require a degree or require a whole lot of book smarts when I have a lot of education?'”
According to her, she wants to pursue modeling though it was not her first passion. She shared in the video encouraging her fans to choose what they want to do.
