“You got us all here for this?”: Robert De Niro Lashes Out in Court After Shameful Abuse Allegations Aimed At Actor By Former Assistant
Legendary actor Robert De Niro who is lauded for his exceptional performances in movies has recently found himself in an unsettling situation.
Usually, the Oscar winner is in headlines for his incredible acting or an interview, but this time Robert De Niro has gathered attention amid his testimony in the court. The Godfather star took a strong stand for himself during his trial in which he was accused of gender discrimination and retaliation by his former employee. De Niro did not hesitate to put forward his thoughts and claimed that those allegations were nothing but false.

Robert De Niro needs no introduction, the impeccable star has captivated audiences through his incredible talent for decades. But recently the Amsterdam actor has faced difficulties as he continued his testimony in court against the allegations put on him by his former assistant Graham Chase Robinson for being abusive during her work time. However, De Niro strongly retaliated at his former employee and according to Forbes he said:
“The whole case is nonsense. It’s absurd. But I’m here!… Give me a break with this nonsense. You got us all here for this?”
The Joker star shouted at his former employee who is seeking $12 million from De Niro for emotional harm and distress she has received while working under the actor and feeling miserable. According to her claims, she stated that it was a difficult time working with the Jackie Brown star, and interacting with his girlfriend was another thing that stressed Robinson out.
De Niro said: “Stop it, I didn’t want to ruin anything. I don’t have the time for this” claiming that he did not harm his former employee who has even claimed that the Stardust actor asked Robinson to scratch his back and didn’t impart fair behavior with her. De Niro replied: “Shame on you, Chase Robinson!” and the actor had filed against Robinson, alleging that she had misappropriated company funds.
Robert De Niro’s Former Employee Claims She Received Inappropriate Comments
The trial didn’t end in a short period as Graham Chase Robinson’s legal representative claimed that Robert De Niro made inappropriate and gendered comments to her. The former employee has also stated that she wasn’t paid fair for being a woman and the Red Lights star refused to treat her fair. Robinson has accused De Niro of asking her to perform laundry and mending clothes even after being an executive.

Her legal attorney claimed that De Niro asked Robinson to deliver a martini from his restaurant twice while she was at her family member’s funeral. However, De Niro denies the allegations and repeatedly calls the case “nonsense”. The Once Upon a Time in America star has filed a case against Robinson alleging that she had misused company funds and asked her to return everything she stole before resigning from work. The two have been in this legal dispute since 2009 when Robinson was accused of corporate theft of money and frequently watching Netflix while on the job.
