“You may not feel sorry for her because she’s rich and famous”: Trevor Noah Supports Kim Kardashian and Fellow Comedian Pete Davidson After Kanye West Relentlessly Harasses Former Couple, Says We’re Dealing With Real Human Beings Here
The Daily Show host, Trevor Noah, speaks out on the recent thriving controversy between the three celebrities, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, and Pete Davidson. The talk show host talks about how the situation of the celebrities had taken a turn for the worse with every petty and disturbing move that Kanye West makes toward his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, especially when Pete Davidson got involved romantically with the Kardashian. Even after the breakup, Kanye West did not let up on joking and harassing the comedian. It had gotten so intense that the comedian had to seek therapy after being harassed to such an extent while the rapper had to delete all of his posts on his official Instagram to avoid more backlash from the internet.
Trevor Noah calls out on Kanye West’s toxicity
The host spoke about how the separation between two people who loved each other can be a difficult emotion to process and even touched on the music video ‘Eazy’ that features a claymation of Pete Davidson being decapitated within it. Trevor Noah understands that this may be a way for the rapper to get his hatred of the comedian processed in an artistic therapeutic method, however as the host stated “I do understand that art can be therapy. But I also understand that therapy can be therapy.”
The talk show host also went on to mention that the rapper has his own mental issues to deal with after the breakup with Kim Kardashian, stating that “With Kanye [West], we don’t know how to feel. We don’t know how to worry. I’m not saying Kanye [West] is just a bad guy. Please, but just as a society, we have to ask ourselves questions.” Clearly, the rapper is sending out mixed signals which do not help in giving clarity to his sanity.
Pete Davidson takes one step forward after taking two steps back
When it comes to the topic of the now ex-boyfriend, Pete Davidson, Trevor Noah addressed the texts between Pete Davidson and Kanye West that were leaked by the comedian himself, stating that “He sends a selfie to Kanye West. And Kanye [West] said “where are you” and he [Pete Davisdon] said, “I’m in your wife’s bed.” Funny. Right? We know what he’s implying.”
“Then after that, there’s a whole bunch of texts where he says “Hey listen Kanye [West], let’s talk as men, let me help you with your mental health, I’ve also got mental health issues.” It was actually that part of the message that was beautiful but I’m sorry guys, to start a message with “I’m in bed with your wife” and then go “let me help you with your mental health” yeah now you’ve added to mental health of the person you’re trying to help them with.”
Needless to mention that Pete Davidson is not necessarily all too innocent of the harassment he has received during and after the breakup with the fashionista after sending such insensitive texts and pretending that it was okay to tell Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband something so offensive.
Will Kim Kardashian ever manage to get rid of her ex?
Lastly, the host also mentioned the fact that the Kardashian has been known to receive a lot of criticism due to a variety of reasons “You may not feel sorry for Kim because she’s rich and famous … whatever, you hate her. But what she’s going through is terrifying to watch, and it shines a spotlight on what so many women go through when they choose to leave [toxic relationships].”
“What we’re seeing here is one of the most powerful, one of the richest women in the world unable to get her ex to stop texting her, to stop chasing after her, to stop harassing her.” When Trevor Noah frames the situation for what it truly is, it transforms from being entertaining, hilarious, or controversial to just straight-up disturbing. Hopefully, Kanye West will soon realize just how toxic of an ex he has been for the last few months up until now.
