Coppola’s standout vision for his work is evident in all his movies. From The Godfather to Megalopolis, Coppola’s filmography is a mixed bag of authentic ideas as well as hard-hitting narratives. Regardless, somehow people found it odd that the central character of his futuristic film could control time. He shared,

Artists trying to control the first little painting in a cave they were making an animal stop or are artists and filmmakers really controlling the time they go back forward? I don’t know people are amazed that I wanted to have a character who could stop time I said gee, you have characters who fly and who hang on spiderwebs and you think that’s odd, and here’s something that all artists do right and you think it’s unusual.

The filmmaker found this hypocrisy a bit unnerving since in his interpretation, all artists control time. Some capture its essence in tunes and movements while others stop time in paintings and sketches.
