Academy Award-winning director Christopher Nolan is all set for his next film, an adaptation of Homer’s The Odyssey, which is going to star Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, and more. The Odyssey was previously adapted as an Italian movie, Ulysses, in 1954, starring Kirk Douglas, Silvana Mangano, and Anthony Quinn. It was also adapted as a miniseries in 1997 and starred Armand Assante and Greta Scacchi and most recently as The Return.
Following the success of Oppenheimer, fans are looking forward to Nolan’s upcoming project, and with a brilliant star cast, the expectations are high. The project is set to begin filming in 2025 using the new IMAX film technology, which has got ardent Nolan fans excited. But one viral tweet has got fans laughing.

According to The Direct, Tom Holland is set to lead Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie The Odyssey, which is set to release in 2026. He is set to appear alongside Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, and more. Tom Holland, on his appearance on The Dish podcast, shared,
To be perfectly honest, I don’t really know what it’s about. I’m super excited, but it’s been pretty quiet about the project. I met with Nolan, and it was awesome. He kind of loosely pitched what it is, and I am sure when he’s ready he’ll announce what it’s about.
The plot details of the movie are kept tightly under wraps, but Collider reported that the set for the upcoming movie is set in Morocco. It is still under construction, but one can see a hint of ancient Greek structures being raised from the ground.
The movie is an adaptation of Homer’s legendary poem The Odyssey that brings the ancient tale of heroism, adventure, and mythical creatures to life. The Greek epic follows the trials and tribulations of Odysseus, the Greek hero, on a perilous journey home after the Trojan War.

Jon Bernthal joins Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey
According to reports by Deadline, The Walking Dead and The Punisher star Jon Bernthal is going to join the star cast of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. It is as of now not known what role Bernthal is going to play in the movie, but fans are excited to learn that the actor joins the stellar cast.
Anne Hathaway, who is also a part of the movie, expressed her excitement to be once again joining Nolan after The Dark Knight Rises and Interstellar. She spoke to Women’s Wear Daily,
I have so many feelings about it that I don’t even know how to articulate them. It fills me with so much joy…I love Chris and Emma Nolan so much, and to be invited into their world is one of the best places you can find yourself.
Hathaway added that it makes her emotional to be called back for a third movie as she always believed that being invited twice feels like something. The actress added that she never let herself hope that the third would happen
The Odyssey also marks Nolan’s second collaboration with Universal and is set to release in 2026.
