“You’re gonna be so tired of it”: Austin Butler Proved His Critics Wrong, Says He’ll Always Love Listening To “Timeless” Elvis Songs
Austin Butler isn’t planning to pause listening to Elvis songs anytime soon. American actor Austin Robert Butler is a Golden Globe Award winner who is well-known for playing Elvis Presley in the musical biopic Elvis. Apart from a Golden Globe Award, he has 1 BAFTA award and was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor.
In 2023, his name was on the list of 100 most influential people in the world by Times Magazine. He has also played decent roles on Disney and Nickelodeon. His most recent major work features him as Gale Cleven in Masters of the Air. However, Austin Butler seems to be a little lost in the songs of Elvis.
Austin Butler Loves Elvis Preseley’s Songs
Austin Butler seems to be a great music lover, and he happens to have found his recent favorite in the Elvis collection. In a recent video posted on YouTube by Esquire, Butler was asked about his favorite album that he listens to on a loop.
Answering the question, Butler mentioned that he loves listening to Elvis songs. Butler told the outlet that people always tell him, “You’re gonna be so tired of it”. He went on to say:
“It is really timeless, and I love his music, and it makes me happy.”
This was a very genuine reply to all his critics. Butler seems to have found a comforting melody in the voice of Elvis Presley. Butler’s statement in the YouTube video clearly confirms that there is absolutely no chance that he would give up on the songs of Presley.
Austin Butler Can’t Get Rid of the Elvis Presley Voice
Austin Butler was nominated for an Oscar for his performance in Elvis (2022) as the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley. While preparing for his role, Butler was assisted by Irene Bartlett, who was his singing coach specifically for the movie.
When numerous lips were asking why Butler was still sounding like Elvis Presley, Bartlett further mentioned that Butler was working extensively on his accent for the film. The trained voice seems to have found a home in Butler’s heart.
Last year, at the Golden Globe Awards 2023 (via Town & Country), Austin Butler said:
“I don’t think I sound like him still, but I guess I must because I hear it a lot. I often liken it to when somebody lives in another country for a long time, and I had three years where that was my only focus in life, so I’m sure there’s just pieces of my DNA that will always be linked in that way.”
Butler said that he prepared for 3 long years for Elvis, and he didn’t even talk to his family in the meantime. The only thing that rang in his mind and heart was the voice of Elvis Presley.
