“You’re just a horrible person”: After Support for P. Diddy, Kanye West’s Autism Claims Aren’t Good Enough to Defend His Latest Meltdown
- Kanye West defends P. Diddy Combs and Chris Brown.
- West says he is really a case of autism explaining his 'episodes'
- Sean Diddy Combs' trial is scheduled to take place on May 5, 2025.
Kanye West is probably one of the most controversial celebrities worldwide currently, especially after his stint on the red carpet at the 67th Grammy Awards. Considered one of the prominent figures in hip-hop, Kanye West has become the topic of discussion due to his ‘outspoken views’ and his conduct on social media.
West’s music cannot be put in a box, as he is defined by frequent stylistic shifts and different musical approaches. The Grammy award-winning artist has ventured into a clothing line, which has received mixed reviews over the years. Kanye West’s recent actions have made the fans angrier and disappointed with how a once musical genius has been letting his recent acts ruin his legacy.
Kanye West defends P. Diddy Combs amid a s*x trafficking case
Surprisingly, Kanye West recently came in defense of Sean Diddy Combs, who has an ongoing s*x trafficking case and is awaiting his trial while being detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
Sean Combs, who was arrested in September 2024, has constantly denied all the allegations of racketeering, s*x trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
West showed support for the Bad Boy Records founder by writing on his X account.

He further added in a separate message, ‘Puff, we love you,’ with another message that read, ‘Just for clarity, they are trying to make an example out of Puff.’ West mentioned that the two of them had their issues, but the ‘white people’ were trying to use Puff to scare others, but he is neither scared nor brave. He also urged President Donald Trump to free his brother. Diddy had tried to secure bail on several occasions, but his appeal has been rejected at all times.
West also added a message of support for Chris Brown, who has also faced several domestic abuse charges in the past. He wrote,
We all watched them try to cancel Chris Brown, and nobody did anything. I was p***y then too, Chris Brown; it’s till the wheels fall off.
As for Chris Brown, in 2021 (via NME), the artist was reportedly under police investigation over the alleged battery of a woman, but the charges were later dropped due to insufficient evidence. In 2023, Brown was sued for allegedly beating a man with a tequila bottle and stomping on him in a nightclub, after which the man was hospitalized.
After receiving backlash online for supporting Diddy, Kanye West took to his social media yet again to ask fans what they are going to do: cancel his sneaker deal, or his record deal, or freeze his accounts? He added that he is choosing to speak his mind, and he is not going to edit it again. Diddy’s trial is scheduled to take place on May 5, 2025.
Fans react to Kanye West suggesting he was mis-diagnosed with bipolar disorder
In a recent interview with Justin Laboy, Kanye West revealed that he was previously misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder after his wife Bianca Censori encouraged him to see a new doctor.
He said,
I went to this doctor; my wife took me to do that because she said, ‘Something about your personality doesn’t feel like it’s bipolar; I’ve seen bipolar before.’. And I’ve come to find that it’s really a case of autism that I have. Autism takes you to a Rain Man thing, and that’s my problem.
West noted that when his fans tell him to do an album in a certain way, he’ll do it the opposite way. He also noted that he hasn’t taken the medication since he found out that bipolar wasn’t the right diagnosis, adding that it’s finding stuff that doesn’t block the creativity, and that’s what he brings to the world.
People on the internet are not happy with West casually dumping his recent behavior on his ‘diagnosis’.
An X user wrote that they hate the fact that autism is becoming a scapegoat for s***ty people to justify their actions. The user mentioned that as an autistic person, it’s damaging to their community when they are already misrepresented. They mentioned,
Autism does not and will never excuse your awful behavior; you’re just a horrible person.
According to the National Autistic Society, people who have autism don’t use anti-Semitic, racist, or misogynistic hate speech. (via Indy)
They added that people say all of those things because they are that. The National Autistic Society shared that autism is a lifelong disability that affects how people experience and interact with the world around them. It doesn’t make one hold any particular view or belief.
