Since the premiere of the sci-fi thriller, many fans have pointed out the eerie similarities between Murphy and Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Tyler Glasnow. The Irish actor was shocked when fans pointed out the uncanny resemblance between the two. 

During his time on the Happy Sad Confused Podcast, the Peaky Blinders star admitted he saw the comparison between the two but thought the photos were AI-generated. When asked by Josh Horowitz, “Are you aware of this baseball player that’s been mistaken for you?”

The actor revealed many fans sent him the picture and said, “Wasn’t that like an AI-generated image or something?” The host stated that the similarities were genuine. 

“You’ve got a doppelganger, you’ve got a long-lost twin,” Horowitz added.

Although Cillian Murphy and Glasnow appear to be the same, there are numerous distinctions between them. Their face is similar in many ways.

Oppenheimer marked Cillian Murphy’s first lead film Christopher Nolan. The highly anticipated film of 2023 landed in theaters and bombed at the box office. It has brought Murphy into the spotlight, and fans have even found his doppelganger.

The Irish actor revealed how fans have been sending him images of Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Tyler Glasnow and have pointed out similarities between them. Although they appear the same, there are many differences between them.

Glasnow is 29 years old and a native of Santa Clarita, California. He was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2011 MLB Draught. The Tampa Bay Rays pitcher made his MLB debut in the summer of 2016 after spending time in the minor leagues. He was traded to the Rays two years later and played in the 2020 World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The 29-year-old has made a name for himself with the AL East team. Glasnow endured a series of injuries, including requiring Tommy John surgery in June 2021, which cost him the rest of that year and nearly all of 2022. The MLB star is yet to comment on the resemblance to Cillian Murphy.
