ReleaseTheSnyderCut is a movement that has been trending worldwide for a couple of days. While the movement never really died down but it got a shot of fresh blood on its second anniversary. Zack Snyder himself joined the trend and used the official hashtag for the first time. But he isn’t the only one from the Justice League movie who has voiced support for the movement.

Gal Gadot And Ben Afflect Support The Snyder Cut Movement

Justice League stars Ben Affleck who played Batman and Gal Gadot, Wonder Woman herself also joined this hashtag fest to demand for Justice League’s Snyder Cut version. This is the biggest push which the movement has got since Gadot and Affleck have remained mum on the issue till now. After all, it doesn’t serve any purpose to go after a director’s cut of Justice League which either does not exist or even if it does, would require significant investment from the studio to finish. Gadot also had to face a lot of scrutiny from the fans of the movement for never participating in it. Henry Cavill was the only one from the main trinity who didn’t join in the hastag fest.

Eventhough the hashtag created quite a stir online but there’s still no news from the studio regarding this. ComicBook.com also learned that WB has no immediate plans (or any plans as such) till now to release the director’s cut. Most prevalent rumour is that the studio wants to separate the DCEU from its previous Snyder connections. For now the studio wants to focus on standalone DC movies rather than creating an intricate universe like the MCU. Also the studio has no plans for a Justice League sequel for now.

Regarding Justice League, Zack Snyder has gone on to say that WB was chasing a lighter version of the movie. Regarding his vision of the film, he said that:

“The truth is that, the Knightmare sequence in this movie was always my idea that all of that would eventually be explained and that we would end up in the distant future, where Darkseid has taken over Earth and where Superman has succumbed to the Anti-Life [Equation] … There were a few members of the Justice League that had survived in that world, that they were fighting. Batman broke a pact with Cyborg because something happened… They were working on an equation to jump Flash back to tell Bruce…”

While we think that the idea certainly seems interesting but the studio clearly didn’t think so.
