Zendaya Labeled As Snitch For Picking Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Over Her Own Best Friend- Bad Blood Explained
Actress Zendaya was a part of the group of well-known pals Selena Gomez, Blake Lively, Gigi Hadid, and singer Taylor Swift who have always been there for her, supported her, and showed up for her when she needed them.
The group, which was once thought to be the most envious in the business, has fallen by the wayside as many of her friends have chosen to go their separate ways over the years. The Spider-Man actress Zendaya also decided to depart from the group and forge her path, but there is a backstory to this. Let’s investigate.
Zendaya on appearing in Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood
Back in 2015, Zendaya had the opportunity to appear in Taylor Swift’s epic music video for the song Bad Blood and she portrayed the character of Cut Throat in it. At the time, the actress spoke to People about her experience of working with Swift’s squad and said, “It was a open, welcoming set.”
She further mentioned, “It just felt relaxed, chill and everybody got to be a part of it in a big way, so I was really lucky to be a part of it. It was a great experience for sure.” The Euphoria actress claimed that she and Taylor Swift connected over texts before they met and she went on to describe the August singer as a nice person.
During an interview with ET, Zendaya called Swift a genius, adding,
“She’s so smart. People are going to be blown away and are going to be obsessed with [the video]. She’s someone that is just a nice person, which is cool because she technically has every reason in the world not to be a nice person, you know what I’m saying? It’s cool to see her remain and still be that. She treats everyone like they’ve been friends forever.”

What led to Zendaya and Taylor Swift’s feud?
According to reports, the actress exited the famous group after she seemingly liked a tweet that was directed at the singer. Their feud was entangled with then-famous couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West regarding Ye’s track Famous.
Kardashian had shared a conversation between her and Swift to showcase that Swift had approved of the mention. Now, according to E! News, Taylor Swift said in her 2016 Grammy Awards speech that the name-drop was like a compliment to her but what the pair did not inform her about was the lyric that followed; “Why? I made that bitch famous (God damn) / I made that bitch famous.”
At the same time when the song was trending and controversy was hot between the two, Zendaya liked two tweets after Kim’s Snapchat story and took the world by storm. The tweets were shading Swift.
Fans also reported at the time stating; “My girl zendaya knew better,” In the second tweet, a Twitter user wrote, “I’m glad zendaya was never really down with that whole Taylor squad s–t.” Zendaya later un-liked the tweets and never acknowledged the issue.

How is the situation between Zendaya and Taylor Swift now?
According to reports, the actress-singer has been busy with work and never acknowledged or commented on the same incident since 2016 but the two of them have not been in touch ever since.
Zendaya said during an interview about Taylor Swift,
“She’s definitely someone that is just a really, really nice person, which is cool because she technically has every reason in the world not to be a nice person, you know what I’m saying? It’s cool to see her remain and still be that. She treats everyone like they’ve been friends forever.”
There have been no updates on why the two strong and individual women could not work it out and move on but it was later known that the actress’ liking the tweets was regarded as favoring Kimye over Swift causing a gap between her and the singer.
