13 Best Trailers Launched Last Weekend You Should Watch ASAP
Last weekend was one of the biggest one for pop culture connoisseurs around the world as Comic- Con@ Home 2021 decided to pull out all the stops in order to unveil all the juiciest and biggest movies, TV series and much more in its annual entertainment industry celebration!
The list includes things from late summer television premieres to the major wave of films and considering the trailers launched were all noteworthy; and they had some major emphasis on horror films considering Halloween is just around the corner!
Here is the list of biggest trailer, teasers and promos released in July 2021 end.
1. American Horror Story
The new anthology series American Horror Stories provides fan with short stories that riff on the American Horror Story Mythos; but the better news is that the main series is set to make its return in August in American Horror Story: Double Feature.
The season’s narrative is divided into two separate tales of mayhem and terror. Will it be as good as the previous seasons?
2. Army Of Thieves
Army of the Dead had a great success on Netflix in the summer, and now the zombie film is all set to get a prequel in Army of Thieves.
Matthias Schweighofer who reprises his role as Ludwig Dieter also directs the prequel. He plays an unassuming bank teller in a small town that finds himself recruited to embark on a string of daring heists across Europe.
3. Brooklyn Nine – Nine
Brooklyn Nine- Nine has been one of the most successful shows in the recent years and after eight seasons and even switching networks, it is coming to an end this year.
The latest trailer for the sitcom shows the police detectives of Brooklyn’s finest police precinct prepare to say goodbye to one another and of course Jack leads his friends for one last ride.
4. Ghostbusters: Afterlife
The movie’s theatrical release date had to be pushed back over a year but now finally; Ghostbusters: Afterlife is all set to premiere this November, and they have released a new trailer bringing in some classic characters as it is set to revisit the world from the first two films.
And additionally, the film also teases a huge antagonist that threatens the next generation of the ghost hunters.
5. Jujutsu Kaisen 0
Jujutsu Kaisen anime was a huge hit and the production work is going on for the second season, and on the other hand, the adaptation of Gege Akutami’s manga series is receiving a prequel film; Jujutsu Kaisen 0.
A young man; Yuta Okkotsu is troubled as he is haunted by the ghost of Rika, a woman who he was once in love with.
And Rika now is a malevolent ghost that feeds on Yuta’s negative emotions; JJK fans, need to get ready to witness a horror romance.
6. The Night House
Gripe is a great and major factor for horror movies to explore and The Night House releasing in August is going to lean hard into all the narrative possibilities from this emotional inspiration.
A woman mourns the death of her husband, but she realises that he had possessed supernatural secrets, with some lurking in their home that may have not gone to the grave with him.
7. No Time To Die
There were a lot of delays for theatrical releases ever since the film No Time To Die was first announced.
But luckily, it is all set to release in the theaters this October, and this movie is going to be Daniel Craig’s last movie as the James Bond.
The 007 is set to face off against a new villain in Safin and the latest promo shows the franchise’s return pits Bond in one dazzling action which is set in another all over the world.
8. See
See, is going to be one of the most ambitious original series on Apple Tv+ and is going to set in a sci- fi world where humanity has endured widespread blindness following a dangerous contagion that wiped out the vast majority of the population.
A new trailer for season 2 is introducing Edo Voss, the estranged older brother of the main protagonist Baba Voss and the two siblings are nothing but super thrilled to be reunited as the Season 2 begins.
9. Stargirl
Stargirl is all set to return for its second season this August; a teenage girl who is the superhero Courtney Whitemore continues to forge a new legacy for the Justice Society of America while fighting all the supervillains like the aptly named Injustice Society.
And Courtney meets another teen hero named Jade, who must also contend with the evil Shade who has vowed to destroy the fledgling heroes.
10. Supergirl
The series went on a long midseason hiatus that began this May, Supergirl’s sixth and final season is finally set to return this August and close out its last set of episodes.
As Kara recovers from her trip to the Phantom Zone, she finds out that apparent;y she is not the only one that was trapped in the pocket dimension and trying to make an escape.
11. Lamb
After producing such great Scandinavian- set Midsommar, the film studio A24 is all set to deliver another European horror movie in the time for Halloween with Lamb.
The movie is all set to star Noomi Rapace and the film shows a couple who don’t have any children are raising sheep at their home in Iceland. When one of their sheep gives birth to a lamb; it defies the laws of nature, their remote farm suddenly becomes a place of some terrible nightmare.
12. Free! The Final Stroke
Free! Iwatobi Swim Club, adapting Koji Oji’s light novel High Speed!, is all set to end its run with the same titled Free! The Final Stroke and that is apt for the the same.
It is being adapted as a two- part anime film, with the first installment set to premier in Japan next month; September.
A trailer shows the boys of Iwatoi Swim Club preparing to compete in the global swimming tournament and this time, the stakes are higher than ever!
13. Doctor Who
The series Doctor Who has shocked the fans the last week when they announced that Series 13 will be ending Jodie Whittaker’s tenure on the famous and long running British science fiction series with the titular star leave the show with Chris Chibnall.
The first trailer for Series 13 promises an epic end to the Thirteenth Doctor’s adventures !
