3 Fascinating Statements From Justin Baldoni’s Attorney to Prove Blake Lively’s Allegations Are Untrue
- Blake Lively's allegations against her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni created waves online.
- Since the release of the complaints, it has turned into a war between lawyers.
- Now, Baldoni's attorney Bryan Freedman made serious statements against those allegations to indicate Lively was lying.
The legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is still ongoing. Amid the process, Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, shared a few fascinating statements countering all the allegations made against his client. These revelations prove that the actress’s claims were probably untrue.
The issues began after the Gossip Girl actress filed a lawsuit against It Ends With Us co-star and director Baldoni, accusing him of s*xual harassment and arranging a retaliatory smear campaign afterward. Lively’s claims included how Baldoni and his partner, Jamey Heath, entered her trailer unannounced while she was changing, which made her uncomfortable. Now, the actor’s lawyer shared some insights to provide a clearer picture.
Did Jamey Heath show Blake Lively a p*rnographical video or a childbirth video?
Justin Baldoni‘s attorney, Bryan Freedman, in a conversation with Megyn Kelly on The Megyn Kelly Show, stated a few facts about the ongoing legal battle that might untangle the knots. He shared, “Blake Lively, if she was s*xually harassed, she wouldn’t have returned to the film. They had sat down and they had talked about what her complaints were. The unfortunate thing is she didn’t read the book (It Ends With Us) and didn’t understand.”
In one of the alleged accusations, Lively claimed that Jamey Heath had shown her p*rnography. But, according to Freedman, it was not that. He said,
In the actual complaint, it says Jamey Heath showed her p*rnography, whereas what Heath showed her was a still video of a homebirth. Because they were discussing a scene about birthing, and that’s not p*rnography.
Freedman further mentioned that this book was about domestic violence and s*x scenes that involved rough behavior leading to domestic violence. If at any given moment anyone felt comfortable while shooting, Baldoni took responsibility for it.
Justin Baldoni met Ryan Reynolds at his house
Justin Baldoni met Ryan Reynolds at his house in New York. As per Freedman, they went over a 17-point list of things and they had come to an agreement. In the same interview Baldoni’s lawyer continued,
Although Justin and Jamey didn’t agree that these things were spoken about or warranted at all, they said ‘of course we won’t come into your trailer when and if you don’t want us to’ and ‘we won’t do these things’. There were simple concepts and simple things in the list of pointers.
In the complaint, Lively and the team admitted that ever since their meeting in January, everything ran smoothly for the rest of the shoot. However, when the actress decided not to do any press or photoshoot with Baldoni, people started to notice the rift between them.
What was Ryan Reynolds’ involvement in all this?
During the interview with Megyn Kelly, Bryan Freedman revealed that Baldoni’s legal team will sue not only Blake Lively but also Ryan Reynolds for sure, and the lawsuit will be based on proper evidence and documents. When The Age of Adaline actress mentioned at the premiere for the first time that her husband wrote a scene in It Ends With Us, it had shocked us all. But, the director of the movie handled the situation well.
Freedman in the conversation shared that it was nothing but Reynolds using his power and influence to not only help Lively take over this movie, but also use it for Deadpool 3, and commented on the scene what he thinks was a dig on his client. Megyn played the clip that Bryan Freedman was talking about from Deadpool 3 on her show where Nicepool can be seen pin-pointing Ladypool’s physical appearance. The lawyer said,
What I make of that is that if your wife is s*xually harassed, you don’t make fun of Justin Baldoni. You don’t make fun of the situation. You take it very seriously, you file HR complaints, you raise the issue and you follow a legal process. What you don’t do is mock the person and turn it into a joke.
Amid all these, Baldoni filed a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times for supporting Blake Lively’s story and not considering the other side’s facts, as per Variety.
