“It’s going to work out”: After 3 Messy Divorces, Kim Kardashian Doesn’t Believe in Marriage, Wants 4th Wedding to Be a ‘Forever Partnership’
Kim Kardashian has not yet had her fill of marriages. After three failed ones, the beauty mogul thinks that she has more capacity for commitment. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star had her first marriage with Damon Thomas while she was only 19 years old, and it ended soon enough. Her second marriage to Kris Humphries lasted an infamous 72 days, after which they called it quits. Her third marriage was seemingly going to be a lasting one, and it did last… for seven years. She and Kanye West share four children and will continue to co-parent them but once Kim K called the shots, there was no turning point for that marriage.
Kim Kardashian claims that her marriage to Kanye West was her first “real” marriage
Kim Kardashian was recently a guest on Gwyneth Paltrow‘s podcast Goop, where she talked about marriage and relationships. The SKIMS owner shared that she planned on staying single for some time before committing to something serious.
Talking about her future prospects, the mother of four said, “I don’t know. I have this fantasy in my head like, ‘Fourth time’s a charm.’ It’s going to work out.”
She further said of her past relationships and especially her marriage with Kanye West,
“I feel, honestly, my last marriage was my first real… The first one, I just don’t know what was happening. The second one, I felt like I wanted to be married so badly because all my friends were at that place and that’s where I should have been.”
She discussed how a compulsive need for fulfillment and a fear of missing out led her to a catastrophically short marriage.
Kim Kardashian wants to take her time before a “forever partnership”
The Kardashians star further claimed that she has now learned from her past mistakes and will keep them in mind moving forward toward what she envisions as the real deal.
“I didn’t accept that that just wasn’t where I was, and realize that was okay. Now I feel like I will definitely take my time. I would be okay for a forever partnership as well.”
Ultimately, about her future, the 42-year-old said that marriage is definitely still on the cards but she is in no hurry and does not want to rush things as she did in the past.
“I think I would definitely want a marriage but I’m so happy to take my time.”
Good call, taking into account that she now has four kids to take care of as well, and not just herself.
