American mockumentary sitcom television series, The Office was aired from 2005 to 2013 for a total of nine seasons, and to date it remains one of the most binge-watched shows of all time. The original British version of the show is equally famous despite having seven fewer than the US version.

The US Version of The Office originally featured Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, and B. J. Novak as the main cast; however, the series underwent multiple changes to its ensemble cast during its run. There are a whole bunch of characters from The Office who went on to star in the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the DC Extended Universe!

Actor Randall Park has a small role in The Office as Steve. But Park is now a recurring MCU character, having so far appeared as S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Jimmy Woo in Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018), WandaVision, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and The Marvels. Randall Park portrayed Stephen Shin in Aquaman and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. This makes him one of the actors to have appeared in both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC Extended Universe.

Another The Office star to have a successful career in the superhero movies is Amy Adams who played the role of Katy Moore in season 1 of the sitcom series and ends up briefly dating Jim Halpert. With four superhero movies to her name, Adams plays Daily Planet journalist Lois Lane in Man of Steel (2013), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Justice League (2017), and Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021), opposite Henry Cavill’s Clark Kent/Kal El/Superman

Martin Freeman

Martin Freeman played the role of Tim Canterbury in the original British series, The Office, and then began his superhero career. Freeman has appeared in Captain America: Civil War (2016) and Black Panther (2018) as Everett K Ross, and will be returning in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022) and Secret Invasion (2023).

James Spader

Fans loved Spader’s role as Robert California in the US version of The Office. The star is also a part of the MCU AI villain Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron. He also voiced Ultron Sentries in Avengers: Age of Ultron. He was replaced by Ross Marquand for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

John Krasinski

The die-hard MCU fans must be well aware that John Krasinski, best known for playing lazy salesman and professional prankster Jim Halpert in the US version of The Office, appeared as Dr. Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in  Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022). While it was certainly a good surprise to have his appearance in MCU it is still not sure if he will be reprising his role as the stretchy Fantastic Four leader.
