5 Movie Villains Who Made Us Forget About The Heroes
Heroes are great, but who makes them better, are the villains! Overall these years, we have met various villains. Some have been threatening, some have been powerful, we have even sympathized with!
But at times, we come across villains who are just so good at being bad, that we almost forget about the main heroes of those films! Here are 5 such villains almost everyone loves!
1. The Joker
Duh! He has to be the first one on the list! The Joker has not only been an iconic Batman villain but also one of the greatest villains in the history of villains! This villain has his roots in the comic book as a maniac and has brought into movies and TV shows adaptations many times.
There’s no argument on the fact that Heath Ledger and Christopher Nolan did the perfect job portraying the character in The Dark Knight in 2008. And Joaquin Phoenix got a chance to make the character shine on his own without Batman! And we all know his performance got him an Oscar!
2. Darth Vader
Many of us have grown up watching Star Wars (older films) and the dialogue, ” I am your father” will always give us goosebumps! A lot of credit goes to David Prowse and James Earl Jones (voice-over).
Darth Vader has some interesting twists and turns and his tragic story and evil presence just boost the character. Also, he did gain some redemption with help of Luke (Mark Hamill). And not to forget, he pulls off cape effortlessly!
3. Hans Landa
Nazis are usually portrayed as psychotic, cartoonish, and deformed as we have seen in many movies like Schindler’s List, The Great Dictator, and even Captain America: The First Avenger.
But, SS Colonel Hans Landa was entirely different. He was cultured and multilingual. He is also a psychopath and extremely charming which makes him much more disturbing. Christoph Waltz surely did a stunning job portraying him in Inglourious Basterds.
4. Magneto
One of the most memorable and even loved characters from X-Men is actually the villain Magneto. Both Xavier and Magneto have the same motive but due to their different life experiences, they have opposite means to reach their goals.
Magneto was a holocaust survivor and was raised without any privilege. Structures of society never worked for him and thus, he always held a grudge against society when it came to accepting his people. He was never wrong, but his methods were not exactly correct ones. And he is insanely powerful!
5. Loki
MCU is filled with so many strong and witty heroes and so many villains try to make an impact too. But Loki successfully managed to do it! Loki was the adopted child of Asgard. He was really amazing in Thor, had great moments in The Dark World too.
But he was fantastic in Avengers. And the Loki TV series definitely is the favorite of many fans! We all appreciate his punchlines!
