Salma Hayek is coming back stronger with her forthcoming film, Magic Mike’s Last Dance which dropped its teaser last month. The actress is starring with Channing Tatum in the movie which made fans unrest due to the steamy lap dance that caught everyone’s attention. The most discussed scene according to the actress was quite challenging for her.
The actress during a promotion of her upcoming film Puss in Boots: The Last Wish also addressed the widely discussed trailer scene and shared her opinions on the same.
Salma Hayek Found The Lap Dance Challengenging With Channing Tatum
The 56-year-old actress, Salma Hayek shared her opinions on the steamy scene from her 2023 film while she was in the middle of promoting her latest animated film, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish with Antonio Banderas.
For the unversed, the final installment of Magic Mike released its trailer containing a special lap dance with the former and her co-star, Channing Tatum. Even though that scene interested many, the actress revealed, “It’s very physically challenging.”
The actress continued that the choreography, even though, was pulled off, added,
“My goodness. You just wait to see. It’s just complicated.”
Regarding the scene, she revealed that her character from the movie had a “magical moment” that made her “remember who I really was” when Tatum’s character displayed a powerful show in the scene.
Salma Hayek’s Character is Portrayed Strong in The Film
The Marvel star opened up about her role in Magic Mike’s Last Dance stating that she is playing the role of a “strong woman.”
Hayek added,
“You know what was my day going into the office? I would just sit around and watch, like, 12 men, semi-naked dancing and doing pirouettes. And I got to boss them around.”
Her Puss in Boots: The Last Wish co-star Banderas joked by stating, “Poor girl, poor you,” adding that he would have made a cameo in the film. Regarding her love interest in the 2023 film, she stated that the actor is a “really good dancer.”
The film revolves around Tatum’s character Magic Mike Lane who finds himself bartending in Florida after a failed business deal and makes a trip to London with a wealthy socialite, played by the Marvel star whom he hooked up with.
Magic Mike’s Last Dance is set to hit theaters on Feb. 10, 2023, while Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is available in theatres now.
