7 Mistakes In Harry Potter Series We Bet You Didn’t Notice
All of us were excited when they announced the Harry Potter reunion, like come on, it was our childhood, right? There are 8 movies (and 7 books) in the series and they were filmed over 10 years. Considering the fact it was a lot of pressure to fit in as much as possible and not disappoint the fans, there have been a few mistakes that were made.
Though it didn’t really harm the films considering six out of eight films are among the 50 highest-grossing films of all time. Here are some mistakes, which we bet you missed to see no matter how many times you have watched the films
1. Was Quirrell Bald?
The makers probably gave Quirrell a bald head in the first installment may be because they wanted him to look like a bad a** and also they had to maybe adjust Voldemort too. But Ian Hart’s sideburns couldn’t quit even in the film. Maybe they should have tied the turban bigger?
Ian Hart’s sideburns were very much visible and looks like no one cared for the same.
2. Harry Went To Sit Beside Hermoine?
After the first years are sorted in their houses, Harry goes and sits next to Ron, while Hermione is next to Percy Weasely on the left side of the table. But in the next shot, Harry has moved to the other side of the table and is now between Hermione and Percy. And there was no time in the scene for him to move and sit between Hermione and Percy. Inconsistency during the shoot maybe?
3. Different Trunks In The SAME Scene
In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Dobby closes the “gateway” to the 9 and 3/4 platform, and the duo bumps into the wall. Ron and Harry’s luggage carts collide and Ron’s trunk has three strips of brown trim down the middle.
But in the very next show, Ron’s trunk has only two strips of trim in the middle!!!
4. Structural differences
They messed up a big-time on this one. During Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, there was an exterior shot of the Dursley’s house through the back patio door. In the first shot, the window is far from the door and there’s a hedge too and it’s quite narrow.
But then when Vernon hits the ground and Petunia runs to him, the window has magically moved to the right, the brick wall is missing and even the hedge is gone! And now they have an extremely large enclosed patio too. How???
5. Is His Coat Magical?
In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Wormtail puts Voldemort’s wand inside the left side of his coat just before he cuts off his right hand. Later, when Voldemort asks for his wand back, Wormtail is taking it out from the right side of the coat.
Like we get it that it won’t be comfortable for him to take out the wand from the left side using his left hand, but then why didn’t they place it in the right, to begin with? This is hilarious.
6. Where Are Her Legs? OMG!
CGI plays a major role in Harry Potter films for obvious reasons and we all know that. But that doesn’t mean they make it this obvious!!! In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the golden trio find themselves in the Forbidden Forest and meet Grawp. He lifts Hermoine into the air, and part of her legs are removed via CGI and we can clearly see the digital lines.
7. There Was A Cameraman Present
Okay maybe other mistakes can still be ignored, but we just can’t believe no one spotted this. Yes, there was a pretty obvious cameraman in this shot. This makes us laugh since it is hilarious.
In the second film, there was this massive error. If you pay attention to the left side of the shot during the dueling scene between Harry and Malfoy, you can spot a cameraman there clearly. Maybe if they made them wear something bright or different, they would have noticed this blunder while editing!
