Looking at the release pattern of the anime’s past seasons, there has been only a one-year gap between Season 1 and Season 2’s release. Unfortunately, though, it has already been over a year since Season 2’s last episode aired, and the movie announcement was made only now. But because A-1 Pictures will return to adapt the next phase of Jinwoo’s journey, they may not take too long.
Still, considering the many steps involved in producing and releasing an anime film worldwide, it can even end up releasing in late 2027. After all, judging by the trailer, the movie already appears to have an enormous production budget.
Is There a Trailer for Solo Leveling: Beyond the System Movie?
Apparently, we do have a teaser trailer for the movie already. Though many of the scenes in the trailer look like CGI, the way it mixes the 2D character designs with the backgrounds is legitimately phenomenal. Here’s the trailer posted by the official Solo Leveling X account, so that you don’t have to look around:
The trailer features many scenes from the upcoming Solo Leveling: Beyond the System movie. The photorealistic backgrounds may initially make you feel like it’s a live-action adaptation, but the moment Jinwoo is shown on the screen, the trailer’s aura increases. Then we even get to see Cha Hae-In in a sick shot.
But the coolest part of the trailer was when Jinwoo summons his shadow army, and the way they all appear on the screen was straight-up fire. If this level of quality is maintained throughout the movie, then it may just break many records in the industry. Thus, it can prove to be another massive success in the franchise.
What Can We Expect from the Upcoming Solo Leveling Movie?

Solo Leveling: Beyond the System is set to adapt the storyline right from where Season 2 left off. That means we’ll get to see the arcs that follow the Jeju Island Arc. The Ant King’s addition to Jinwoo’s shadow army will significantly boost his powers in the movie. Along with that, Jinwoo will now have many other things to take care of, such as establishing his dominance over the System.
The title, Beyond the System, might just be a smart reference to the manhwa’s Double Dungeon Arc, where Jinwoo takes control of the System. And as it seems, the movie is unironically heading in that direction, judging from the upcoming arcs in the storyline. Also, the Red Gate Incident Arc, which is one of the most action-heavy arcs in the series, may also get adapted in the film. But given the limited duration of a movie, it may leave viewers with a massive cliffhanger.
Interestingly, a third season of Solo Leveling is also confirmed to be in production. However, the movie is expected to be released before season 3, meaning the cliffhangers from the movie could be resolved in the next installment.
Who Is in the Cast and Crew for Solo Leveling: Beyond the System Movie?

Interestingly, the teaser key visual and the concept video for the movie were presented by Sung Jinwoo’s English voice actor, Aleks Le, himself, which pretty much confirms that he will be returning to voice Jinwoo in the English dub.
This is because we rarely see a change in voice actors for a franchise that is already this popular. Though unforeseen circumstances may cause a change in plans, for now it’s safe to assume that the lead cast from the original anime will return.
So, here’s a quick look at both the major English and Japanese dub cast for the Solo Leveling anime, along with their other notable works in the industry:
| CHARACTER | JAPANESE VA | OTHER NOTABLE WORKS | ENGLISH VA | OTHER NOTABLE WORKS |
| Sung Jin-woo | Taito Ban | Yagi from Given, Fujimiya from The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten | Aleks Le | Zenitsu from Demon Slayer, Thorfinn from Vinland Saga |
| Cha Hae-in | Reina Ueda | Reze from Chainsaw Man, Kanao from Demon Slayer, Chinatsu from Blue Box | Michelle Rojas | Shion from That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Roxy from Mushoku Tensei |
| Sung Jin-ah | Haruna Mikawa | Rin from Bâan: The Boundary of Adulthood, Pikachu from Pokémon | Rebecca Wang | Koyuki in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle |
| Yoo Jin-ho | Genta Nakamura | Shinohara from Liar Liar, Hideji from Dandadan Season 2 | Justin Briner | Ayanokoji from Classroom of the Elite, Luck from Black Clover |
While the voice actors may be the heart of any anime, much credit should go to the production crew that makes these projects possible. And based on the first trailer alone, director Tao Tajima appears to have done a phenomenal job. He is also serving as the director of photography, editor, and colorist for the film.
Meanwhile, the eye-catching character designs and key animations are by Tomoko Sudo. Furthermore, the movie is also being co-produced by Crunchyroll alongside Aniplex, Netmarble, D&C Media, and Kakao Piccoma.
Where Will the Solo Leveling Movie Be Released Online?

The Solo Leveling: Beyond the System movie is originally set to release in theaters. Since the movie is officially co-produced by Crunchyroll (which has partnered with Sony), we can assume it will receive a global premiere on day one of its release.
After the movie’s box office run is over, which may not happen anytime soon and could go on for months as Demon Slayer did, the movie will eventually be released on Crunchyroll. After all, Crunchyroll itself is co-producing the film. Furthermore, the movie is also expected to be released on Netflix, since the first two seasons of the series are already available to watch on the platform.
Not only will the film be a visual spectacle to witness on the big screen, but the story will also feature major events that reshape the narrative. So, how excited are you for this upcoming Solo Leveling movie? Let us know in the comments below!
Prior seasons of Solo Leveling are currently available to watch on Crunchyroll.
