Since there are hundreds of Quirks introduced in My Hero Academia, fans often debate which are the strongest. Although it ultimately depends on how well a character can use their Quirk, meaning we may not always see them at their highest potential. Still, if we have to pick among the MHA Quirks based on how broken their abilities are, the top 15 would be these.
The Quirks in My Hero Academia are crafted with the utmost care, giving the anime a well-balanced power system in which almost anyone can be a bad match-up for some others. Still, according to the series’ canon events, the Quirks mentioned below are proven to be the strongest of all time, ranked by how deadly they would be if used to their maximum potential.

| AIR DATE | Apr 3, 2016 – Dec 13, 2025 |
| IMDb RATING (as of July 14, 2026) | 8.2/10 |

15. Shinso’s Brainwashing Is Often Inescapable For Newbies

A veteran with prior knowledge of Shinso’s quirk will have no problem dealing with him. That’s why it’s ranked at the bottom of the list. But if you don’t know how the Brainwashing quirk works, then it’s an immediate game over for you, no matter how overpowered your quirk is. Just one vocal response to Shinso’s comment gives him full control over your body. You’ll then be left defenseless with no chance of winning. Still, once you know how the quirk works, it’s not much of a problem.
14. Twice’s Double Quirk Can Overwhelm You With Numbers

Double itself may not possess much destructive power, which is why it’s ranked only 14th on the list. But in a prolonged battle, especially one of attrition, Jin can prove to be a real pain to deal with. Repeated cloning allows him to create an entire army of soldiers that he can control at will, so he can often come out victorious in long battles. Plus, it has some other cool uses too, as we’ve mostly seen Twice making copies of himself. However, as mentioned earlier, his clones are quite weak, and soon they start to cause internal problems with each other.
13. Neito Monoma’s Copy Ability Is Theoretically Broken

You might wonder how a quirk so similar to All For One is ranked so low on the list. That’s because it also has major drawbacks. Monoma’s Copy literally allows him to copy and freely use an opponent’s quirk simply by touching them. However, he can only use the copied quirk for the next five minutes before it disappears. Also, while he can copy multiple quirks at once, he can’t use two or more at the same time. So basically, his quirk becomes quite situational, but it’s still theoretically broken.
12. Stain’s Bloodcurdle Is One of the Trickiest to Deal With

If it wasn’t Stain (originally Stendhal), Bloodcurdle couldn’t have been used to such terrifying heights. Still, the quirk itself may act like a cheat code. The fact that licking someone’s blood allows the user to completely paralyze their body sounds absolutely unfair. That’s why Stain became one of the scariest villains in all of anime. However, the fact that, in a first-time combat, Stain must first injure his opponent enough to draw blood and then lick it makes it a tall order. So, it’s only ranked 12th.
11. Endeavor’s Hellflame Is a Force of Pure Destruction

Although Endeavor himself has proven to be one of the strongest characters in My Hero Academia, his quirk itself couldn’t secure a place in the top 10. Hellflame has its overheating issues, and it also depends heavily on the user’s physical endurance. Only Endeavor managed to overcome these drawbacks and rise through the ranks of the Hero Association. But technically, apart from its massive destructive powers and incineration abilities, Hellflame may not be all that exceptional.
10. Todoroki’s Half-Cold Half-Hot Delivers Absolute Chaos

Compared to Hellflame, Todoroki’s Half-Cold Half-Hot quirk is far more versatile. It even has its own solution to the overheating drawback. The quirk allows Todoroki to freely use both ice and fire. His body’s left side generates scorching flames, while the right side produces freezing ice. And when you combine both abilities at once, the result is on a whole other level. That’s why it’s ranked 10th on this list. With more experience in the future, Todoroki can surely use it to its full potential.
9. Atsuhiro Sako’s Compress Can Turn Anything Really Small

The Compress quirk doesn’t sound all that terrifying because all it does is shrink anything or anyone into the size of a small marble. It also doesn’t deal any damage to the body and only temporarily immobilizes the individual. However, this quirk is extremely dangerous because you almost have no room to run when faced with it. All the user needs to do is make brief physical contact; there’s no need to injure the target or make them bleed. Therefore, it is ranked 9th on this list.
8. Thirteen’s Black Hole Ability Deserves a Lot More Attention

Arguably possessing one of the strongest quirks but one of the purest mindsets, we have Thirteen, who devoted her whole life to being a rescue hero. But if she wished, Thirteen’s Black Hole ability could potentially bring down most of the characters on this list. Just one pull, and you’re reduced to dust, literally. Being a rescue hero is simply her life choice, but that doesn’t diminish mankind’s fear of black holes. Therefore, the quirk itself more than deserves to be in the 8th spot on this list.
7. Chisaki’s Overhaul Can Reshape Matter at the Particle Level

Overhaul might just be one of the most versatile quirks, deserving of the 7th spot. Its destructive power is off the charts, as a single touch from Chisaki can lead to an entire building being destroyed and reconstructed at his will. Interestingly, the quirk is so powerful that he always needs to wear gloves to keep it under control. The quirk even has healing capabilities, as a single touch can restore an injured person’s health to its original state, and even chronic diseases can be eradicated.
6. Shota Aizawa’s Erasure Can Nullify Quirks At Will

Much of Aizawa’s entire vibe becomes so ominous because of his quirk, Erasure. The quirk can literally erase another person’s quirk for a certain period of time (except mutation Quirks like tails, tongues, etc.), and it only takes a single glance. It doesn’t matter how powerful the opponent’s quirk is; Aizawa simply has to restrain them, which he can do with his Spider-Man-esque fighting style, and then make eye contact. And before anything happens, it’s game over for the enemy. Which is exactly why he ranks so high on this list.
5. Tomura Shigaraki’s Decay Disintegrates Anything He Touches

Anything solid cannot escape Shigaraki’s Decay quirk. It will disintegrate anything he touches, and unlike Overhaul, there’s no turning it back. So basically, you’d better be dead if Shigaraki makes contact with you. Interestingly, even if his hands are severed after making contact, the severed hand remains active and continues to decay anything it touches. Even Aizawa cannot keep him detained for long, as once Erasure wears off, Shigaraki can immediately release himself.
4. Star and Stripe’s New Order Has Reality-Bending Powers

The creativity bar is set so high for using the New Order quirk. But conceptually, it’s on a whole other level in terms of its capabilities. Cathleen Bate, aka Star and Stripe, is shown using the quirk with incredible versatility. She simply has to touch a target and explicitly state its name, after which the quirk can manipulate the physics and biology of that object however she wants. So, she essentially rewrites reality within certain limits. But that alone is strong enough to rank 4th on the list.
3. Eri’s Rewind Is Way Deadlier Than It Is Described

Don’t judge a book by its cover. Eri more than deserves to be in the top 3 on this list simply because of how insanely broken her quirk, Rewind, is. In the anime, it has shown the ability to reverse someone’s body to a point before they even existed (as she did to her father). That basically means Eri can technically erase an individual’s existence. Plus, the quirk’s healing ability is so powerful that Deku could even utilize One For All at 100% and remain unaffected, maintaining physical contact with her.
2. One For All Becomes Stronger With Each Generation

One For All might be the strongest, and in terms of a single quirk with destructive powers, it does back up such claims. But the quirk has too many restrictions that keep it from securing the top spot. Thus, it had to be placed 2nd. No one can argue that All Might has, time and again, proved the true extent of this quirk, and it continues to grow stronger with each successor as it can be passed on. But the toll it takes on Izuku Midoriya throughout the series has been a bit too much.
1. All For One Breaks My Hero Academia’s Power System
There shouldn’t be an ounce of doubt that All For One is the strongest quirk in all of anime. On a technical level, it surpasses even Deku’s quirk because One For All takes time to reach its highest potential. But All For One has been equally strong since the very beginning. The quirk basically allows the user to steal any other quirk. But the most broken aspect of this quirk is that several stolen quirks can be used at once to create entirely new and even more destructive attacks!
A quick summary table highlighting the 15 quirks, their users, and their powers:
| QUIRK NAME | USER(S) | ABILITY |
| Brainwashing | Hitoshi Shinso | Mind control |
| Double | Jin Bubaigawara (Twice) | Cloning of people and objects |
| Copy | Neito Monoma | Copy others’ Quirks |
| Bloodcurdle | Chizome Akaguro (Stain) | Paralyzing target |
| Hellflame | Enji Todoroki (Endeavor) | Flame control |
| Half-Cold Half-Hot | Shoto Todoroki | Ice and fire control |
| Compress | Atsuhiro Sako | Shrinking people and objects |
| Black Hole | Thirteen | Black Hole creation |
| Overhaul | Kai Chisaki | Deconstructs and reconstructs matter |
| Erasure | Aizawa | Erasing others’ Quirks |
| Decay | Tomura Shigaraki | Disintegrating any solid entity |
| New Order | Cathleen Bate | Changing the laws of physics and biology |
| Rewind | Eri | Rewinding a living being |
| One For All | Midoriya, All Might, and previous users | Amplified raw destructive power |
| All For One | All For One | Stealing Quirks |
The list might have come to an end, but you probably still wished to see some other Quirks mentioned in this article. Well, the power system in My Hero Academia is so nuanced that it’s hard to satisfy everyone. That said, how much do you agree with this list anyway? And what Quirk would you want to have for yourself?
