During his family trip, Gere developed a fatal cough which he failed to stop and was therefore hospitalized. It was mentioned that the actor had been suffering from a severe cough, prior to their vacation. Supposedly his health deteriorated on his trip and needed him to seek immediate medical attention.
The actor was admitted to a nearby hospital in Nuevo Vallarta, close to their vacation home. The 73-year-old allegedly hospitalized with pneumonia was later diagnosed with lung infection as per TMZ reports. Gere spent the night in the hospital receiving great care and treatment, until the next day when he was discharged after witnessing improvement. The actor was seen wearing a mask on his holiday, enjoying time with his family.
Richard Gere’s deteriorating health condition sparks concerns
The 73-year-old actor has been constantly worrying about his health and his children’s future. Richard Gere married Alejandra Silva in 2018, after being reunited with her in 2014 and starting to date shortly after. The actor shares two sons with Silva who are toddlers of three and two years old. Gere’s children are way too young, and the actor fears he won’t be able to see his children grow up into adulthood.
Constantly suffering from health issues due to his age, Gere was recently hospitalized in Mexico on his vacation. Although his health improved and he was reunited with his family, fans are worried about his deteriorating health.
