After Justin Bieber Leaving Scooter Braun Rumors, Two More Music Icons Have Abandoned Kanye West’s Former Manager
Singing sensations Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande have both parted ways from their long-time manager Scooter Braun, on the same day. This news comes only weeks after the internet was abuzz with rumours of long-time client Justin Beiber leaving SB. These things happening in such a short span of one another has fans abuzz with speculation for the reasons of the happenstance and anticipation of possible future occurrences.
Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande Severe Ties with Scooter Braun
Ariana Grande has worked with Braun for the entirety of her singing career. After getting off of Nickelodeon, the Positions singer signed with the celebrity manager and has since been with him.
She launched her debut album Yours Truly under the management of the Taylor Swift nemesis a decade ago. The album’s revamped version with live performances of the songs has been released on its tenth anniversary. Seems her deal with Braun was of ten years and she has stepped away after coming a full circle.
Demi Lovato on the other hand signed with Braun in 2019. She has since released two albums, Holy Fvck and Dacing with the Devil..the Art of Starting Over. The latter hit number two on the Billboards chart while the former had a song which scored a 7.
Safe to say that both the stars saw great success under Braun’s management. The ups and downs, public image has been handled well. And it does seem strange that they have now decided to get out of their contracts.
Scooter Braun Being Deserted by Clients
Several artists are getting off Braun’s roster. The celebrity manager who has recently been appointed the CEO of the North American subsidiary of South Korean media conglomerate HYBE. His career is reaching heights but he is losing clients, a dichotomous scenario.
The list of recent Scooter Braun expats include J Balvin, Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande. Beiber was rumoured to be making a permanent leave but his representatives have firmly denied any such act.
It is interesting to note that just recently four artists have discharged Braun from the role as their manager. This chain reaction of artists seemingly cutting all professional ties with Scooter Braun is raising eyebrows and squinting eyes. The reason for this contract-ending spree, if any, remains unknown. None of the artists have made any statements regarding their decision. It will be interesting to see who they now start to work with.
