Almost facing a spiteful boycott and PR disaster which cost them millions, the beverage company is planning to “spend heavily” on marketing following their controversy.

The popular beer company Bud Light was publically scrutinized and heavily ridiculed for its association with the transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney. Enraging celebrities and netizens with their sponsored post of adult beverages, the company suffered a massive backlash in the wake of their brief partnership. However, on a recent note, the company is willing to focus on regaining its brand image and steer clear of its PR disaster.

Country music star Kid Rock, spitefully obliterating crates of Bud Light via social media video is kind of strange if you look at it without context. But the bizarre video had the power to divide America based on a culture war controversy.

The entire feud started after the adult beverage company Bud Light made a brief association with the transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney for a paid partnership. In the wake of the LGBTQ+ community’s empowerment, the company found it a positive step considering the millions of followers on Mulvaney’s social media handles.

However, the company couldn’t imagine the partnership would create a culture war by splitting the country between activists, firebrand politicians, and conservatives. Spreading a nationwide boycott while smashing crates of Bud Light the entire movement started with a social media post.

Bud Light Is Currently Focused On Marketing 

Hitting the internet on April 1st, Dylan Mulvaney with more than 10M followers on social media, tried popularizing the beer brand through a paid partnership. Seen opening a regular can of Bud Light, advertising the brand, Mulvaney had no idea how the promotion would face a brutal response from politicians and netizens.

Well, neither did the company imagine the ridicule they would face in the wake of their brief partnership. With netizens rallying on social media to boycott Bud Light, based on the partnership, the company is now willing to revamp its loss. Preparing to dramatically increase its marketing budget, Bud Light’s parent company, Anheuser-Busch is willing to spend heavily to recoup the PR losses.

Fearing their livelihood and job security, Anheuser-Busch executives are planning to “spend heavily on the brand after spending fell off a cliff last year”. Working overtime to repair their damaged image, executives have promised to improve the “screening process before any marketing hits the public,”. Facing a major setback, the beer company initiated new marketing efforts in an attempt to make up for the plummeted sales.
