Whether the Barbie actress will be entering the franchise or not, Marvel has begun its search for another actress to take on the role. The casting rumors have emerged, and it looks like Marvel has to eye two actresses to take on the role. Although there is cause for skepticism, a recent rumor contends that Vanessa Kirby may take Robbie’s spot as the leading candidate to play Sue Storm/Invisible Woman.

Kirby made her acting debut in The Crown as Princess Margaret before demonstrating her action movie skills in flicks like Mission: Impossible – Fallout and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. She seems like a perfect candidate to play Sue Storm in the Fantastic Four

Another name popping on the list to be a perfect fit for the role is Jodie Comer. The actress has been a top pick by fans for the part of the Invisible Woman. She excels in action movie roles, as seen by her portrayal in Free Guy with Ryan Reynolds.

There are reports that Marvel is eyeing to cast Adam Driver as Reed Richards. If that’s the case, then the Hobbs & Shaw actress could the best choice to play Sue Storm, as she will balance out Driver’s nerdiness with her beauty and acting chops.

It’s a matter of time as fans have to wait till Marvel confirms the cast of Fantastic Four.

The Fantastic Four

The Marvel Cinematic Universe was launched in 1961 with the publication of Fantastic Four by creators Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Reed Richards/ Mr. Fantastic, Susan Storm/ Invisible Girl, Johnny Storm/ Human Torch, and Ben Grimm/ The Thing made up the squad. On an unauthorized space mission, the team was exposed to cosmic rays, which changed them and gave them superhuman abilities.

Roger Corman created a Fantastic Four film in the 1990s, but it never made its way into theaters. Instead, Fantastic Four was released on the big screen by 20th Century Fox in 2005, and a sequel, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, was released in 2007. After several years of poorly received film adaptations, the Fantastic Four will finally join the MCU thanks to Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox.

The MCU’s Fantastic Four is slated to release on February 14, 2025, and it will be the second film in Marvel’s Phase 6, which will bring The Multiverse Saga to an end.
