However, ever since the series was streamed on Netflix it has gained more popularity as people across the globe are watching it again. According to Netflix, Ballers amassed an impressive 18.4 million hours of viewing time along with attracting more than 3.9 million unique viewers only in a single week. What is this new agreement between Netflix and HBO all about?
To multiply their revenue streams both Netflix and Warner Bros, Discovery has struck a deal in which some of the HBO shows will now be streaming on Netflix. This deal between these streaming giants was kicked off in June.
As per this agreement, HBO shows like Insecure, Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Six Feet Under, and Ballers will now be streaming on Netflix. Not only this even True Blood will be available on Netflix but only outside the US.
Despite this agreement notable HBO shows like Games of Thrones, Succession, The Sopranos, and The Wire will not be Netflix as they have been kept off the deal. Even though this is not the first that HBO shows have appeared on a rival platform, this deal in particular is surely paying off for the studio.
