Fans weren’t too shocked because, in a November 2022 interview, Evans mentioned he wanted to start a family with the right person. Of course, their 16-year age gap is notable, though it pales in comparison to some other Marvel stars.

Chris Evans, famous for playing Captain America, married Alba Baptista last year after dating for two years. Evans (who was born on 13 June 1981) is now 42, while Baptista (born on 10 July 1997) is 26, which makes a 16-year age difference between them.
Despite the age difference, the married couple seem to be a great match. When they are seen together, they appear very happy and in love. Fans are also supportive and happy for them. A source told People:

Hollywood couples with a big age difference are nothing new, and Marvel’s Florence Pugh is a recent example. When the English actress was 26, she was in a relationship with Zach Braff, who was 47 years old at that time. This 21-year age gap between them became social media fodder. Just like many couples nowadays, Pugh and Braff first met virtually when the actor complimented her acting in the movie Lady Macbeth on social media. Their romance wasn’t meant to be, though.

Even more major is the gap between Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Sam Taylor-Johnson. The Kraven the Hunter star, 34, has been married to his wife, 57, since 2012. They met when the actor was just 18 years old on the set of the movie Nowhere Boy.
Despite the age gap, the couple seems happy together. They even have two daughters. Their first daughter, Wylda Rae, was born in 2010, and their second daughter, Romy Hero, in 2012.
In an interview with The Guardian, Taylor-Johnson’s wife said the 23-year age difference between them isn’t a big deal in their relationship. “We’re a bit of an anomaly, but it’s that thing: after 14 years you just think, surely by now it doesn’t really matter?” said the filmmaker.
