Spider-Man Noir is an alternate version of Spider-Man which is one of the most beloved Marvel superheroes to have ever existed. The superhero’s secret identity is Peter Parker, an orphaned teenage high-schooler being raised by his aunt and uncle, Aunty May, and Uncle Ben in New York City after the death of his parents Richard and Mary Parker.

According to the origin story by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, Peter decides to use his powers (which he acquires after being by a radioactive spider) to fight crime after his Uncle Ben is murdered by a thief who escapes. A noir version of this superhero Spider-Man Noir alongside many others was launched in 2009, and recently, an interesting detail regarding Amazon’s Spider-Man Noir live-action has been revealed.

Spider-Man Noir Live-Action Series is Going to Have an Interesting Twist

Spider-Man has been adapted into a variety of other media such as cartoons, films, video games, live-action and animated series, and whatnot, with the first of these having been released in 1967 when ABC came up with an animated series. Thanks to the multiverse in the Marvel universe and the newly created Spider-Verse, there are also many different versions of Spider-Man such as Spider-Ham, Miguel O’Hara, Pavitr Prabhakar, Miles Morales, and of course, Spider-Man Noir.

The biggest catch in all of this is that the show will not see Peter Parker as the main character. According to an individual who is working on the project, the show, set in the 1930s New York City, will follow an older, grizzled superhero. That is definitely going to be one rather interesting take on the project.

Spider-Man Noir came into existence when Marvel launched a Noir version of the superhero in 2009. The origin story of this version of the superhero is quite different from the one that people are familiar with, it is interesting nonetheless. There have been numerous adaptations of this character so far with the most recent one being the character that Nicolas Cage voiced in the 2023 animated series Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

It is no secret that Tom Holland manifested his role as Spider-Man. Despite this, he is unwilling to return for a fourth movie unless the story is groundbreaking and brings something more to the character than what has been seen previously (via Collider). This shows the actor’s dedication to playing the character and doing it justice. Seeing as there has been no development in that direction, it is unlikely that the fourth movie to come out anytime soon.
