Amber Heard’s Aquaman 2 Rating Revealed by the MPA
The Motion Picture Association (MPA) has revealed its official rating for the much-awaited Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the aquatic superhero tale. Fans may rest easy knowing that Aquaman 2 will be made on the big screen with a PG-13 rating- for Sci-fi violence and some language, which is in line with the categorization for the majority of movies in the DC Extended Universe.
Adapting the Plot for the DC Universe
The undersea epic’s returning director, James Wan, talked about the plot and where it fits within the DC Universe. Wan modified The Lost Kingdom during production to match the DC Universe plot. He stressed how unique Aquaman’s universe is, allowing them the luxury of a stand-alone movie.
According to CBR, Wan reassured viewers, saying,
“We are going to a lot of different underwater kingdoms that aren’t necessarily related to what is going on with the other movies and characters, so we are stand-alone in that respect. So I can just share my experience on its own without getting too influenced, but I also need to be aware of what’s been going on”
As Wan emphasized, the Aquaman series has always been distinguished by its solitary approach. He added
Well, Aquaman — even the first film — has always been a very standalone film. That was always our approach: that it kind of lives in its own world, and that’s kind of how we’ve approached The Lost Kingdom as well
James Wan’s Vision for Future Aquaman chapters
Discussions on a potential third film in the franchise have already started as anticipation for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom grows. Wan then turned to the idea of an Aquaman 3 movie and said it should be focused on character growth and pointed out that The Lost Kingdom establishes such a strategy to be a standalone movie. He expressed faith that the content of The Lost Kingdom may provide a strong framework for further narrative.
As per CBR, not all reports about the movie have been favorable; there have been claims that test screening attendees left because of an especially upsetting sequence featuring Arthur Curry Jr./
With the release of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom on December 20 this year, viewers may re-enter the captivating aquatic world. It is positioned to provide a cinematic experience well worth the expectation with a PG-13 rating and the exciting promise of a large solo adventure.
