The Demon Slayer saga, which started nearly six years ago, is beginning to approach its finale. The makers have announced that the final saga will be split into three parts and adapted into three separate movies.

Via a press release, Crunchyroll announced the release date for the first movie of this trilogy, and you will find the relevant information, along with other exciting info about where the anime left us off, and how much of the manga the first movie will adapt.
Clear your calendars for September

Crunchyroll has revealed that the first installment of the Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Saga movie trilogy will be available to the Japanese audience much earlier than those outside Japan. They will be able to enjoy the movie on July 18, whereas fans in the US will have to wait a little longer.
The Official Instagram account of Crunchyroll and the official website for the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Movie have both revealed that the movie will be released on September 12 in the US.
Crunchyroll’s Instagram account made this announcement through the following post:
The post got fans even more hyped for the movie as they got to witness a clip of Muzan trapping the Demon Slayers within the Infinity castle, and vowing to kill every one of them.
Demon Slayer Infinity Castle The Movie: Breaking it down

Season 4 of Demon Slayer ended with Ubuyashiki sacrificing himself, along with his wife in an attempt to stop the Progenitor of Demons. While fails to take him down, the explosion along with the attack from Tamao manages to slow him down just enough for the Hashiras and Tanjiro to reach him.

Despite being beheaded by the Stone Hashira, Muzan survives and traps the Demon Slayer Corp inside the Infinity Castle. The trilogy of movies will pick up from this point and will adapt the final portion of the Demon Slayer manga, consisting of the Infinity Castle Arc and the Sunrise Showdown Arc.
We predict that the first movie, in particular, will adapt the story from Chapter 139, titled “Falling” to Chapter 156, titled “Thank You”, which will cover a total of 18 chapters. This is of course pure speculation and will depend on its pacing.
But what we can say with certainty after watching all the promotional material is that we are in for a ride of a lifetime with these movies and their amazing animation.
Spoilers that will blow your mind!

Caution: Spoilers for the Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Movie and Manga
Assuming that you read the spoiler warning, let’s now get into the Spoiler Talk. As stated above, the movie is going to pick up right where Season 4 left us off, with everyone falling into the castle, and being separated from one another.
From here, a few of our characters are going to pair up, while the others navigate the castle alone.
Some fun pairings that will result in epic fights are: Tanjiro and Giyu, Inosuke and Kanao, Gyomei and Muichiro, and Mitsuri and Obanai, with each of the pair having to face one of the Upper Moons.

Here are some of the major plotlines that we predict will take place in the movie:
- Ubuyashiki’s son will take over as the new Leader of the Slayer Corps.
- We get to see how each of the Hashira reacts to Ubuyashiki’s death.
- Giyu and Tanjiro will be forced to fight Akaza, with Giyu activating his Demon Slayer mark, and Tanjiro gaining the ability to access the Transparent World.
- Akaza’s backstory is revealed.
- Shinobu will be pitted against Douma, Upper Moon Two, and will end up dead.
- Kanao and Inosuke fight against Douma, and Douma’s backstory is revealed.
The movie might end with Shinobu’s death being announced to the other Hashira, and Kanao teaming up with Inosuke to fight against Douma. But whatever the movie might adapt, we are sure that the movie will continue the trend of Demon Slayer being a delicate balance between action and emotions, which is sure to please fans.
The Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Movie will premiere exclusively in theatres, and will perhaps be available to stream on Crunchyroll and Netflix after a few months.
