Amber Heard’s Reaction to Johnny Depp’s Movie Return: Aquaman 2 Star Seems Unbothered With Ex-husband’s Success
Amber Heard, a former Hollywood actress, has been photographed in Spain, where she now resides with her daughter after moving there after her highly publicized legal battle with her ex-husband, Johnny Depp. Meanwhile, actor-producer Depp debuted his Hollywood comeback with Jeanne du Barry not too far away in Cannes, France, where he was given a seven-minute standing ovation.
Amber Heard Seems Happy In Spain While Johnny Depp Makes Hollywood Return
While Johnny Depp is receiving standing ovations in Cannes, Amber Heard keeps things low-key as she goes about her day in Spain. Despite both of them thriving in Europe, their lifestyles are extremely different.
After her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, with whom she was embroiled in a contentious Virginia defamation trial a year ago, premiered his new French-language film at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. The Aquaman actress, on the other hand, was pictured in the capital of Spain, where she currently resides.
Depp signed autographs before strolling the red carpet on Tuesday as Jeanne Du Barry opened the prestigious event to cheers. Later, when the movie earned a standing ovation at the end of the showing, he became emotional.
Depp was questioned about his decision to return to acting in movies following the highly publicized trial and whether he feels “boycotted by Hollywood” during a news conference on Wednesday. He said,
“Do I feel boycotted now? No, not at all. But I don’t feel boycotted by Hollywood because I don’t think about it. I don’t think about Hollywood. I don’t have much further need for Hollywood myself.”
In October 2022, photographers captured Heard at Palma de Mallorca’s beaches. She also accompanied her daughter Oonagh Paige to a nearby playground where she engages in animated conversation with other children, looking happy. The American actress was reportedly spending a lot of time in Spain to “dedicate herself to being a mother,” according to CNN.

Johnny Depp Received 7-Minute Standing Ovation At Cannes
Johnny Depp is in town for the Cannes film festival’s opening feature, Jeanne du Barry, to have its world premiere. The tale of Jeanne Vaubernier, the mistress of King Louis XV, is told in Jeanne Du Barry. A standing ovation for him lasted for over seven minutes. The actor then admitted to reporters that it briefly startled him. “I felt like I was in a loop. The reaction’s intensity just seemed to keep going and going.”
Depp’s most recent leading role is in Jeanne du Barry. Since his 2018 lawsuit against The Sun, which he lost when a UK court determined that the tabloid’s description of him as a “wife beater” was “substantially true,” Depp has not been cast in any major US production. He was fired from the lucrative Fantastic Beasts franchise and ostracized by the big US studios as a result of Heard’s allegations of abuse, which Depp denied.
It should be recalled that the court ordered Amber Heard to pay Johny Depp $10 million in damages at the conclusion of their legal dispute in June 2022.
