Ana de Armas Did Not Recognize Ke Huy Quan Until Her Boyfriend Freaked Out About Her Selfie With the Oscar Winner
Hollywood’s glamour night, the Oscar has always been nothing less of a surprise or jaw-dropping moment. But this time an off-screen incident has come into the spotlight leaving fans in stitches. The charming diva Ana de Armas had a humorous yet embracing moment with non-other than that of the Oscar winner, Ke Huy Quan. Ana de Armas did not recognize Ke Huy Quan
During the Governance Ball, Ke Huy Quan, the legendary Oscar-winner came up to Ana de Armas and asked her for a selfie. But much to the fan’s amusement, Armas had no idea who Quan was until her boyfriend saw the picture.
At the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Armas said “I was very happy to meet Ken Huy Quan”, she further said, “he came to me, I didn’t know who he was and he asked me for a selfie”.
Later when her boyfriend saw the picture he freaked out and told her he was none other than the guy who played Data from the Goonies. Armas further shared how much she loved Goonies. Recalling about old times she said,
“I grew up like and for some reason in Cuba they would play The Goonies all the time on the TV, like this was one of my favorite movies ever growing up and I didn’t realize that Ke was the guy from The Goonies”.
However, when Ana de Armas realized who he was she went up to him again and this time she was the one to ask Ke Huy Quan for a selfie.
Is a new friendship brewing between Ana de Armas and Ke Huy Quan?
After this hilarious moment, the bond between both the stars seems to be brewing new friendship ties. During the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, the 34 years old actress was giving out all hugs to only one person which was none other than Ke Huy Quan.

Following his big Oscar win, Ana de Armas ran into Quan and she was seen giving him all the love and congratulations for winning the golden statue for his role in Everything, Everywhere, All At Once.
Even though Ana de Armas lost out to Michelle Yeoh for Best Actress, she was seen to be very supportive and happy for Ke Huy Quan. This sweet jester has all the fans in awe and more in love with Ana de Armas.
