Angelina Jolie confessed to wanting to commit only to Jonny Lee Miller

Angelina Jolie’s relationship with actor Jonny Lee Miller was dubbed as a relationship that best encapsulated the 90s. The duo met on the sets of 1995’s Hackers but after the filming wrapped up, they lost touch but soon reconnected in 1996 but unfortunately separated in 1997 after a brief marriage of 18 months.

During an interview, at the time, Jolie said, “Jonny and I never fought and we never hurt each other. I really wanted to be his wife. I really wanted to commit.” Jolie, after the breakup, insisted that she was still somewhere in love with the British actor before she explained that when she was 14 years old, her boyfriend moved into her house where she lived with her mother.

She continued, “We were together and serious for two years. That relationship felt like marriage. It was a tough breakup, so I immersed myself in acting to get over it.”  During the conversation, the actress also confessed that she feels that it was her fault that her marriage with Jonny Lee Miller fell apart, as she pointed out,

“We were living side by side, but we had separate lives. I wanted more for him than I could give. He deserves more than I am prepared to give at the time in my life, but there is a very good possibility that we could get married again sometime in future.” The former couple separated on a good note as they remain friends and always had nice and positive things to say about each other.

Angelina Jolie explained why she started acting again

After trying out her hand on direction, Angelina Jolie decided to take a step back from acting and focus on directing as she became director of movies, including In the Land of Blood and Honey, Unbroken, and First They Killed My Father, but then she appeared in 2021’s Those Who Wish Me Dead. Ahead of the movie’s release, she was asked about her decision to come back to acting and she said,

“I love directing, but I had a change in my family situation that has not made it possible for me to direct for a few years. I needed to just do shorter jobs and be home more, so I kind of went back to doing a few acting jobs. That’s really the truth of it.”

During the 60 Minutes interview, she confessed that she will do some movies but she does not know how much longer she will appear in the movies make that she does not love them as much as she used to. Back in 2007, Jolie confessed that the passing away of her mother had resulted in her losing some passion for acting.

According to reports, the ugly divorce battle between one-time sweethearts and Hollywood’s favorite couple Brangelina is going to get ugly as the actress plans on dragging on the custody battle for the next four more years.

A source shared that the actress plans to drag on the custody battle until the twins; Knox and Vivienne, who are now 15 years old, turn 18 years old and are legally allowed to make their own choices.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce, which was filed in 2016 is turning out to be one of the messiest and longest divorces in the history of celebrity divorces. The couple separated after an alleged argument on a plane that, according to reports, left Jolie and her two kids with alcohol. The actors were declared single in 2019.
