Anthony Kiedis’ Disturbing Relationship With a 14-year-old Girl is One of the Most Disgusting Acts By a Celebrity Ever
- Red Hot Chilli Peppers members never try to deny their offensive behavior.
- Frontman Anthony Kiedis was surprisingly nonchalant about his relationship with a 14-year-old.
- Other members of the band have also been convicted over the years.
If you think Elvis Presley went too far in his performances, rock band Red Hot Chilli Peppers led by Anthony Kiedis will make you rethink how far is too far. Over the years, this band has gained an infamous reputation for their outrageous stage antics and lyrics suggestive of their carnal desires, often bordering on perversion.
Art gives everyone freedom of expression, but Red Hot Chilli Peppers seem to have also interpreted it as the freedom to assault others. In fact, even some of their dating choices are quite questionable considering Kiedis once very unabashedly admitted that he was dating a 14-year-old girl.
Anthony Kiedis Admitted He Was Once in a Relationship with a 14-year-old Girl
It would not be too much of a stretch if the Red Hot Chilli Peppers were to be renamed Red Hot Chilli Perpetrators. There is enough proof of their offensive acts for them to get convicted, and what is even more surprising is that they have not denied these allegations themselves. Owning up to it, however, does not justify their actions.
In 1989, after their concert at George Mason University’s Patriot Center during the Mother’s Milk tour, Anthony Kiedis was convicted of s*xual battery and indecent exposure. He was fined $1000 for each misdemeanor charge. Of this incident, Kiedis told The Washington Post that it was,
blown way out of proportion by both the media and the prosecution. It was a playful thing that happened backstage — there was never any harmful intention. Speaking for my band and myself, we’re all very friendly people who would never want to hurt anybody or make people uncomfortable.
In his memoir titled Scar Tissue, Kiedis admitted to having had a relationship with a 14-year-old girl once when he was almost 10 years older than her. He was surprisingly nonchalant while addressing it (via Far Out Magazine).
The next day we drove to Baton Rouge, and of course, she came with us. After we got offstage, she came up to me and said, ‘I have something to tell you. My father’s the chief of police and the entire state of Louisiana is looking for me because I’ve gone missing. Oh, and besides that, I’m only fourteen’
Even the revelation that the girl’s father was the chief of police did not seem to scare him. Remorse was perhaps the last thing he would feel about this and the 1985 song Catholic School Girls Rule shows how he truly felt about the whole ordeal.
Other Red Hot Chilli Peppers Members Have Also Been Convicted
Anthony Kiedis is not the only member of the band to have been accused of inappropriate behavior or convicted of harassment. In 2016, former Epic Records executive Julie Farman revealed in an essay (via The Grayish Carpet) that two members of the band had harassed her in 1990 in the company’s storage.
In that very year, Chad Smith and Flea were arrested in Dayton Beach, Florida for battery, disorderly conduct, and solicitation to commit an unnatural act (via UPI). During their performance on the beach before a spring break crowd and for MTV cameras, they had allegedly picked a woman from the crowd and tried to rip part of her bathing suit.
Way too many bones lie in their closet which is wide open. The question that arises is if it will ever stop. Currently, there is a picture circulating on X in which Kiedis and his ex-girlfriend Australian model Helena Vestergaard can be seen. The concerning part is that Vestergaard was less than 20 years old when she was dating Kiedis who was slightly over 50 years old.
