Anthony Mackie recently acknowledged that he experienced some star-struck moments while working with Harrison Ford on Marvel’s upcoming movie Captain America: Brave New World. He revealed that Harrison Ford, who will be starring as General Ross, was equally excited about being a part of the movie. Mackie, who is replacing Chris Evan as the new Captain America for the latest Captain America 4, shared in an interview with the Wrap, saying, He really loved working with the 80-year-old Ford, saying it was was surprising to him how laid back and easygoing Ford was during the filming. The 44-year-old Hollywood actor continued,
“Seeing Harrison in his 80s excited about being part of the Marvel cinematic universe was really dope. It’s funny; he shows up, and everybody is kind of like, You don’t know what to do with Harrison Ford. Like, ‘Somebody gets Harrison water,’ but he wasn’t that at all.”
He added that they had a great time on the set while also expressing gratitude for being part of the MCU and bringing characters to life. Anthony said that he was a bit surreal at the start, but after knowing that Harrison was a cool dude, the scenes became much easier. In June, the celebrity posted a photo with Harrison Ford, who played Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny for the final time. Harrison Ford is rumored to play Red Hulk in major MCU movies.
Marvel had made a major announcement regarding the character of Thunderbolt Ross, replacing the late William Hurt, who is played by Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford, who will also be playing the Red Hulk in the new film Thunderbolt as General Thaddeus Ross. William Hurt has been portraying General Ross in several Marvel movies, such as The Incredible Hulk and Captain America: Civil War, Black Widow, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, where he is depicted as the Hulk’s major nemesis. In the comic books, General Ross becomes the Red Hulk, so there is a possibility that Ford will play a major villain in the new Captain America movie. When ComicBook.com asked him if this was the plan for his character, the actor said replied, “What is the Red Hulk?” Marvel Studios’ Nate Moore didn’t give away much when asked about Harrison Ford becoming the Red Hulk. Moore expressed excitement about having stars like Han Solo and Indiana Jones in a movie, looking forward to scenes with Mackie and Ford together.
