Recently, CNN reported that a spokesperson for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office stated that the office has presented the case against Hammer to the district attorney. The details of Hammer’s case are still vague; the victim is identified as Effie. Effie accused Hammer of r*pe. She said,
“I am severely traumatized by Armie. I feel disgusted that he’s not taking accountability for what he did to me, and that he’s resorted to attacking me. Armie has no remorse. He continues to cause pain, and I don’t think he’s changed at all.”
Effie claimed that she was in a relationship with Hammer from 2016 to 2020. She also professed that the Social Network actor used to assault her during their four-year relationship.
However, Hammer has denied all the allegations and stated that whenever he was involved in any s*xual activity with whomever, it has always been consensual. He also mentioned that everything was discussed beforehand, and he never forced himself upon anyone ever.
Robert Downey Jr.’s support for Armie Hammer
According to the sources, Robert Downey Jr. also has an indirect relationship in this case. Armie Hammer was once a drug addict, and Downey came to his aid. Last year, Hammer was surrounded by vile accusations of emotional abuse, manipulation, violence, and rape. During that dark phase of Hammer’s life, it was Downey who persuaded him to join rehab to get rid of his drug addictions.
