“Avengers: Endgame” Has Surpassed Avatar’s Original Earnings, But It Still Needs This Amount To Be #1
Avengers: Endgame looks poised to overtake Avatar as the highest grossing film worldwide of all time, as the movie’s total worldwide box-office now stands at $2,749,603,966 over the weekend. This means that it has surpassed Avatar’s original theatrical run which grossed $2,749,064,328 before its re release as well.
How Much More Needed For Avengers: Endgame To Surpass Avatar?
Over on Reddit, Redditor Comrade Batman pointed out the fact that Endgame is now just $38.3 million away from fully surpassing Avatar’s lifetime theatrical box office total. That may seem to be a very small sum but even the Endgame hype has slowly dwindled down a lot. Yet it seems like the title of #1 grossing movie is still within reach.
Will Endgame break the record?
Overall, we have to say that Endgame certainly looks like it will become the #1 worldwide grossing movie of all time since it is getting a special re-release of its own with seven minutes of additional footage and a tribute to the late comic book creator Stan Lee (who was involved in creating a lot of these characters along with the late Jack Kirby.)
Avengers: Endgame is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel and more.
