Avengers: Endgame Shatters Box Office Records, Goes On To Become The Second Highest Grossing Movie In History
Avengers: Endgame has finally done it! It is now that second highest grossing movie of all time. Endgame’s global box office tally is now at $2.18 billion. It has effectively surpassed Avengers: Infinity War, Star Wars : The Force Awakens and now Titanic.

In more than two decades, there has been only one other movie which has surpassed Titanic and that was another James Cameron movie, Avatar. But the journey isn’t over yet as box office projections suggest that Avengers: Endgame could very well topple Avatar to become the new highest grossing movie ever!
From The Mouths Of The Bosses Regarding Avengers Endgame Box Office Totals
Alan Horn, The chairman of Walt Disney Studios said in a press release when Avengers: Endgame had the historical first $1 billion dollar opening at the global box office that:
“Kevin Feige and the Marvel Studios team have continued to challenge notions of what is possible at the movie theatres both in terms of storytelling and at the box office. Though Endgame is far from an end for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, these first 22 films constitute a sprawling achievement, and this weekend’s monumental success is a testament to the world they’ve envisioned, the talent involved, and their collective passion, matched by the irrepressible enthusiasm of fans around the world.”
Kevin Feige, President Of Marvel Studios said that from the beginning the journey that began with Iron Man, all that they’ve wanted to do was tell stories which brought these amazing characters to life oncreen, the way they were experienced as in comics.
He also said that:
“We’ve had so many other successes in this journey leading to this unbelievable result with Avengers: Endgame. It has been almost entirely due to the fans around the world who have supported us through it all.”
He then went on to thank the directors, writers, cast, filmmakers and the team at Marvel and Disney who brought this story home. He also didn’t miss out on thanking the two main people- Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, without whom none of it would be possible.

The Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo also added by saying that:
“We poured our heart and soul into Avengers: Endgame, hoping to tell a story that would inspire audiences around the world. Our family of cast and crew felt honored to be entrusted with bringing the Infinity Saga to a close. To Kevin Feige, everyone at Disney and Marvel, and the incredible global.community of fans – thank you.”
